Well said. The correct date of Birth of Shri V.K. Singh is already a settled matter. There is no point in probing that matter again. There are so many issues warrnant immediate action to root out corruption in the country. We should devote our times only to chalk out plan of action how to eradicate corruption from the society. The worst affected are only the poor and middle class. To get the job done anywhere in our daily walk of life, there is corruption.
IAC says that they will root out corruption only by filing RTI cases. I am still at a loss to know, how far it is feasible. Whatever may be the merits and demerits of Mr. Anna Hazare, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, Ms. Kiran Bedi, Mr.Shanthi Bhushan, Mr.Santhosh Hedge and others, Govt. put them in tender hooks and not at all shaken on their Movements and the Jan Lokpal, Lokayuktha and for that matter any Movement against corruption will be pushed to the corner by the Govt. as long as disgruntled elements within and outside UPA are ever ready to prop up, in the event of any eventualities, the reasons best known to them. Under these circumstances, IAC's approach of filing RTI cases against corruption and expose them, how far, it will help to root out corruption is a million dollar question.
The corruption has taken deep roots in the society because of the large scale corruption and immunity granted to Ministers, MPs, MLAs under Constitutional Rights, escape from immediate action and judicial actions which normally lead to prolonged letigation. What is the remedy ? The only option left to us to defeat all the corrupt politicians when they contest elections. But, IAC is against Political system and Democratic system of Govt. IAC says that they believe in Democracy but not Political Democracy. I am not able to differenciate between Democracy and Political Democracy. Political system and Political Democracy are inseparable and one and the same. It is two sides of the Coin. If IAC believe in Democracy, it has to accept Political System. IAC belive in Democray but not Political system means it is hypocrisy.
There should be a clear direction how IAC is going to eradicate corruption in the Govt. which is run by Political system without attacking the Political parties.
It is my considered opinion, without giving jolts to political parties, we cannot eradicate corruption in the Govt.
I solicit views from Members on this point.
