Re: [IAC#RG] Faction war in AAP

this is the reason why Anna Hajare was opposing the political party and wanted a continue a strong and devoted pressure group, IAC, against politicians. Let us wait and see ahead. Now the real test of these people who wanted to convert into politics will start.

The present faction war in AAP clearly indicates that this party is really no different from other political parties in the country, with  ego , prejudice and one upmanship  becoming  the central factor in the relationship between the persons in the leadership position of the party.

Even though Delhi voters responded to the campaign of AAP and provided unmatched support for the party in the recent Delhi election, it has not brought any sense of responsibility amongst the party leaders but only created friction amongst  them, obviously due to the greed  of dominating the party leadership, to reap the benefits of power.

Delhi voters ignored several complaints and allegations against the leadership of AAP such as collection of tainted money from all and sundry for the election campaign and providing fictitious account for the money collected.  So far, AAP has conveniently ignored such allegations. It would have been appropriate for the party to order an enquiry about the allegations against AAP after coming to power, if the party were really true to it's claim of  having tall standards of probity and accountability.

The present squabble in AAP only provides more frustration and disappointment to Indians who long for emergence of  patriotic, capable and unblemished people in power.

Dear Velu

It is highly unlikely that AK / AAP will change their spots. AAP is
emerging as a highly selfish party filled with corrupt people at the
top under a dictator. In simple words avatar of the Congress Party
under Indira Gandhi with "Garibi Hatao'. The next step is that there
will be "inspector raaj" in Delhi and tax paying trader/business class
will be harassed while land, bijli and water mafias make merry.

I had predicted this would happen. eg. my email to Shanti Bhushan ji

We really have to be naive in believing that aap party n it's members are going to be saviours.
They clearly promised cut in electricity bills n free water.
This got them the our i.e delhiites votes.
The contractual workers as in teachers, cleaning staff mcd, bank employees n other service industry voted for aap as they were promised pucca govt naukris with the usual perks.
Now aap has to deliver.

AAP has stopped all demolitions in Delhi. It is good to be considerate.Such a  rule of governance works only in an environment of SELF DISCIPLINE, which unfortunately is missing in Delhi.Everybody is so SELFISH.
How would we stop ENCROACHMENTS?.
Or else we should expect CHAOS as non payment of electricity bills would cause.May be this is their PHILOSOPHY, at least of some of the founding members of AAP.

I have been watching the progress of AAP since its inception hoping it to be a step closer to participatory democratic set up and have high expectations. There is no denying that Delhi needs more schools, colleges, hospitals Public toilets and bijli paani for the

rapidly increasing population. I  am only curious about the source of funds which you can raise either through taxation or c ental assistance. Delhi is not an exception suffering from these shortages. All metropolitan cities suffer from these shortages. Mumbai has much bigger population living in slums worse than the life in unautorised colonies of Delhi. But the people pay more for electricity and other civic services Kolkatta is equally in dire need of resources.

I consider Delhi elections as a watershed event and its success or failure will have far reaching consequences. It is for this reason I hope that AAP should have deliverable targets. For this reason I am looking forward to budgets the State and the Centre.

All very true as far as AAP is concerned to face the financial constraints
It is also becoming clear that there will either be a split or A. Kejriwal will change his style of working. As it is now it is becoming an AK and MS Show. The party built on anti-corruption movement has not given any thought on issues of governance.
When water is supplied free,it loses its value in the eyes of the consumers and liable to be wasted. You may see it happening in the villages of even draught prone NCR region where water is supplied free. Population of slums in Mumbai is much bigger than Delhi but they all pay for water and electricity. So why not Delhi?

I consider Delhi elections as a watershed event and its success or failure will have far reaching consequences. It is for this reason I hope that AAP should have deliverable targets. For this reason I am looking forward to budgets the State and the Centre.

At least some people thought that AAP will set new standards and emerge as role model for other political parties in the country. In any case, this is what Kejriwal & his friends claimed and  based on such claims they  campaigned during the Delhi poll.

I also wish AAP well and will be happy if it can honour its 70 commitments given to the people.Being  a realistic, I  wonder where the huge amount of funds needed to implement the proposals will come from. Most of the Delhities have made the UT home after coming from various states and most of them are not aware that their everyday requirements come from other states including PAANI -BIJLI.I am told that for reducing electricity bills and free water Delhi Administration need about 1600 crore  in a financial year. But this amount will not decrease next year onward since input cost for generating electricity and treatment of raw water is expected to go up every year.Delhi govt will have to implement 7th Pay Commission Recommendation. It is expected next year. This was announced by the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley while presenting the General Budget in LS on February 28.Since Delhi govt employees in the   UT  are given central govt"s pay scales, the 7th Pay Recommendation will be implemented .Besides AAP has promised to set up new colleges, schools, hospitals. The central govt has its own limitation and is committed to bridge the budgetary  deficit in phases .Govts all over the world including erstwhile Communist regimes of the Soviet Union ,other socialist countries and even China are reducing SUBSIDIES to its citizens.
If AAP govt goes on giving subsidies, all development projects will come to a standstill and new ones cannot be taken up due to shortage of funds.Even market borrowing will not be possible as bankers and investors cannot be convinced about the return of their principals from a govt which is broke. And that is why some people  WHO say AAP HAS SOLD A DREAM TO THE GULLIBLE  SEEM TO BE CORRECT.
With Good wishes to the CM & and his team

Re: [IAC#RG] Faction war in AAP

I  fully agree with the above remarks of NSV. It will be a sad day if AAP turns out to be yet another Indian political party cast in the same mould.  In that case the party will go down in history as one which  betrayed the faith placed in it by the Indian  people. One can only hope that the party leadership realizes this and makes all out efforts to live up to their  promise of being different, in every action
Let leaders  of AAP know  that the whole world is watching them. Will they raise up  to the occasion?

Re: [IAC#RG] Faction war in AAP

Kejriwal was a congressman. He was full of praise for Sonia Gandhi prior to launching AAP. He made an attempt to get into NAC headed  by Sonia Gandhi. What more is necessary to distinguish AAP as B team of Congress ?  Prasant Bhushan and Yongendra Yadav had always been misfits in that company. Left liberals were flocking to AAP to vent their frustration than to save a political situation.
