Re: [IAC#RG] Bizarre anti-nationalism of Vice President Sh. Venkaiah Naidu?

Good discussion here.
No one can doubt nationalist thinking of Bengali folk in the pre Independence times and post.
Without knowing much details abt the actual happenings in those times, one thinks that we shd give Jana Gana Mana due respect.
What one finds totally abhorrent is JNU type of Politics which is not 'free wheeling' but SELF SERVING to say the least.
I happened to be there for a while in the 80s and it's a picnic out there.
Studies shd be regulated and time bound.
This one says with respect to current times with World Economy looking towards India as a viable option.
I think its a opportunity of a life time and instead if getting diverted by our internal politics of Sibal ji and likes we shd look ahead.
The above is said in my capacity as a common man who has limited understanding of high politics.
Utmost Respect to all.

[IAC#RG] GOA - A DRUG, SEX, GAMBLING & CRIME HUB

The drug menace across Goa is a matter of very grave concern and should have received the Government's top most priority attention and action. Unlike a few years ago, the narcotics trade today is no longer restricted to the coastal belt. They are being openly sold and merrily consumed in every nook and corner of the State with even all of the hinterland infested. They are freely available at the markets, bus terminals and even at the entrances of some many educational institutions.

Due to lack of coercive and corrective measures by successive governments we have reached a point of crisis where even the law enforcement officials are now helpless. Instead of combating the source of drugs, all that we have been hearing is empty rhetoric on eradicating drugs while the ground reality is that the hazard is only spreading further across the State.

With ruling politicians lending patronage to the drug trade, Goa today has been officially reduced to a narcotic, sex, gambling and crime haven. A very unsafe destination and a very sorry state of affairs.

Posterity will never forgive the current bunch of ruling politicians for their selfish role in the irreparable damage and destruction of what was once known as beautiful Goa, the Paradise of the East.

Re: [IAC#RG] Bizarre anti-nationalism of Vice President Sh. Venkaiah Naidu?

Dear Major Upadhyaya

Firstly, Each and every public servant is accountable to their masters - We the people of India, and Vice President is no exception.

Secondly, if the newspaper report in Times of India is correct then the Vice President is opposed to the singing of the National Anthem Jana Gana Mana and he must certainly explain why.

Thirdly, Bande Mataram is not the national song and it was never the national song of India. The first 2 verses were adopted as a song of the Congress party in 1937 only after Subhas Bose and others of the garam dal walked out. It is very well known to all true patriots, and I hope you don't deny it, that the slogan Bande Mataram (the slogan of the violent struggle against the 1905 partition of Bengal) was actually stolen/misappropriated for satyagraha by the foreign sponsored naram dal of Congress party and promoted by Gandhi to turn us into a nation of non-violent sheep.

Fourthly, I am sure that you know that Bankim's poem Bande Mataram is a deeply patriotic, complex and moving poem deeply cherished by all true patriots and can only be understood and acted upon by "Sanyasis" who are least concerned by this material world and are prepared to face death with the cry of Bande Matarm on their lips. It is therefore a criminal waste of this divine hymn to expose the common sheep-like satyagrahist people of Bharat to such a powerful work unless they are prepared and composed for revolution.

Fifthy, and I say this with great humility, only scholarly Bengali Brahmin patriots can fully understand the history of Jana Gana Mana and Bande Mataram which have been perverted and distorted by outsiders to suit foreign interests inimical to Bengal who want to keep the Bengali people divided.

Re: [IAC#RG] NEED FOR ETHICS AND PROBITY IN PUBLIC LIFE

There cannot be two opinions on the issue of ethics, be it for a public figure or a secluded one. Lack of ethics in anyone is like a germ that can cause harm to the society at some time or other. The deterioration of democracy world over and in India in particular is attributable to the erosion of the value for ethics in individual, common or a celebrity.

The issue is how and why the deterioration set in and how and if the deterioration can be reversed.

Re: [IAC#RG] UP elections

You are wrong. Trend has changed. BJP contested on its own symbol for the first time. Yogi held rallies in hundreds of rural areas. No one has ever heard of a sitting CM campaigning for local elections.

BJP should have got at least 250 seats out of 438 up for grabs in Nagar Panchayat to sustain the 2017 assembly momentum. There were several attempts by BJP to polarise UP civic body elections. But people rejected BJP. 90% of Independent victors are anti-BJP. I am on the ground in UP. I know...

This time BJP and BSP put their best effort. That is all .
So the calculations are misplaced. Political polarization of votes in local bodies are very rare in UP. It is up to anybody to draw conclusion based upon the result . But it is a fact that the trend is unchanged after 2016 election .

Not a word about results of Nagar Parishad and Nagar Panchayat!

Indian Express, Times of India, Hindustan Times, Tribune, Dainik Jaran, Aaj Tak, Zee, NDTV, CNN-IBN, and yes, first post, second post, third post---

I CALL OUT FOR JUSTICE...HERE ARE THE REAL FIGURES:

Nagar Panchayat (Town Area) Presidents: 438/438

Independents: 182
BJP: 100
SP: 83
BSP: 45
Congress: 17
AAP: 2
Rashtriya Janata Dal: 2
Rashtriya Lok Dal: 3
AIMM: 1
AIFB: 1
Unrecognised Party: 2

Nagar Palika Parishad (City Municipal Council) Presidents : 198/198

BJP: 70
SP: 45
Independents: 43
BSP: 29
Congress: 9
CPI: 1
Ad hoc registered party: 1

Nagar Nigam (City Municipal Corporation) President: 16
BJP: 14
BSP: 2

SOURCE: ELECTION COMMISSION

WAIT...the best is yet to come...
Out of 652 seats, BJP gets 184 seats...and who gets the maximum? Bloody hell! It is the Independents!!!!

INDEPENDENTS WIN 225 SEATS OUT OF 652 AND EMERGE AS THE SINGLE LARGEST GROUP!

SP emerges as the third party with 128 seats out of 652...

BSP emerges in the fourth position with 76 seats out of 652...again, BSP has re-gained some of its Dalit votes...but overall, sliding behind SP must have given it cold comfort...

Now, let us see the voting pattern:  Out of a total population of 22 Crores, 8 Crores were eligible to vote in the 3 tiers...

Polling was 52.4% ...again, roughly, a little over 4 Crore votes were polled...

2.65 Crore votes were polled in 438 Nagar Panchayats, 35 Lakh  in 16 Corporations, 1 Crore in 198 Nagar Palika Parishads...

BJP winning 14 out of 16 Corporations...in all 16 seats, BJP scored 87% votes...BSP 12.5%...

So 87% of 35 Lakh would be close to 30 Lakhs...

In Nagar Palika Parishad, 70 seats got by BJP fetched it 35.5% of the vote...SP polled 22.5 % and BSP 14.65% while Congress polled 4.5%...Independents polled 21.72% of the votes polled...

35.5% votes polled by BJP in Nagar Palika Parishad out of a total of 1 crore votes, amounts to 35 lakhs...

In the 2.65 crore votes polled in Nagar Panchayats, BJP with just 100 seats out of 438 could manage only 22% of the vote! In this segment, Independents polled 41.55% of the votes...SP polled 18.95% and BSP polled 10.27%...Congress vote share stood at 3.88%...

Now how much is 22% of 2.5 crores? Around 58
Lakhs...and how much 41.55% of 2.5 crore votes?1.7 Cr....

So, in toto, BJP polled 1,23,00,000 votes out of 40000000...how much is that in percentage terms? 30%!!!!!!!!!

In 207 assembly elections, BJP polled 42% of the vote. It had swept rural areas. Now its share has come down to 30%!

THIS IS MY CHALLENGE: IF ELECTIONS ARE HELD TODAY IN UP, BJP WILL GET 30-34 MP seats. And between 158-162 assembly seats! THAT'S IT.....

NOW THE SAME THING IS GOING TO PLAY OUT IN GUJARAT....MARK MY WORDS...BJP IS POLLING 30-33% VOTE IN GUJARAT...WHICH MEANS IT WILL COME DOWNTO BELOW 60...

And here, I have not even taken into account the massive manipulation of Nagar Nigam results, the faulty EVMs, tho who jingbang brought into play by Modi.

Basically, BJP FACES THE REVOLT OF THE 'AAM AADMI' IN IN UP. BRAHMINS, MUSLIMS, YADAVS   AND DALITS VOTED GENERALLY AGAINST BJP....

With few exceptions, BJP lost entire seats in Nagar Panchayats in Basti, Gonda, Chitrokoot, Allahabad, Mirzapur, Barabanki, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Kausambi, Fatehpur, Farukkhabad, Firozabad on and on...Amethi was with BJP last time also...no big deal...

This loss is a fatal blow for Yogi...imagine BJP trailing behind Independents...the latter trend OPENS THE FLOODGATES FOR THE RISE OF NEW FORCES IN UP!

Re: [IAC#RG] UP elections

The BJP / RSS / VHP machines are not in any kind of freefall. In fact they are steadily increasing their coverage and numbers and their ideological hardcore is around 21% today (up from 13% 4 years back). Simultaneously select RSS cades are now being secretly armed with automatic weapons and trained to form "bullyboy" squadrons similar to Hitler's Brownshirts or SA. It is thus only a matter of time before political parties without professionally trained and armed in-house cadres (eg. Congress) get eliminated alongwith their top leadership, we expect it to happen before 2019.

Re: [IAC#RG] UP elections

Kudos to Shri Amaresh Mishra for posting the true picture!

By not releasing/publicizing the true picture the paid media is playing into the hands of the BJP to help in the Gujarat Polls.

FULL AND FINAL, REAL RESULTS OF UP LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS...

INDEPENDENTS WIN 225 SEATS OUT OF 652 AND EMERGE AS THE SINGLE LARGEST GROUP...

BJP LOSES THE STATUS OF BEING EVEN THE SINGLE LARGEST PARTY...

This infinitely, is a bigger scam than demonetisation, selling India to Ambani, Adani, foreign nations and foreign capital.

This is a bigger scam than Modi drinking tea with Nawaz Sharif in a blatant act of cynicism when our Jawans were being killed at the order.

You must have heard of booth capturing, rigging etc; but how would you term an electoral exercise where the real results are hidden from the public--part is presented as whole...

WHERE A PARALLEL FALSE 'REALITY' IS CREATED TO COUNTER THE 'REAL REALITY'

BJP's measly, victory of the gutter, just 14 out 16 in urban hubs, is being presented as a victory! Where is Shekhar Gupta, where is Prakash Bhanu Mehta, where is Abhisar Sharma, where is that...that...man...Prannoy Roy....where is Rajdeep Sardesai...where is Arvind Kejriwal...where is Radhika Ramseshan, where is Burkha Dutt...where is Abhisar Sharma...where the hell are u guys hiding? What are you guys afraid of?

None of you have had the guts to at least present real facts of UP civic polls before the people.

Yesterday, the entire day, media kept raping facts...kept showing that BJP has won 14 out of 16 Municipal elections.
