Dear Mr Sarbajit, no, DSTB is meant to improve the TV services to the consumers but every DSTB needs to be properly accounted for as a regulation from the govt to the CATV industry, basically by the DAS service providers who are the MSOs, about 6000 in the country. Neither the MIB has laid this down for them nor the MSOs are capable of doing this in the gross absence of their necessary back end. MSOs need to be governed by the MICT the only networks ministry in the country. MIB better do what is its basic bread and butter to serve the nation and that is all types of content, assume full fledged responsibility to set up the world's best NCMC within a year rather than run 140 million CATV homes network of MSOs and LCOs run in the most slip shod manner in the world, full of under declaration, a source of huge black money.
