Dear Sir,
Your view points suggest that you are the only honest person on this planet.
Please stop all this. You are trying to gain credence by joining an issue which you are not otherwise entitled to.
Gen VK Singh cannot reply to such irrelevant missives.
Entire political system is rot and you have no problem. Joining non issues will take us no where. All the thugs are watching all of us engaged in in-fighting.
I find that key-board warriors cannot make any impact the way they are doing.
Best wishes and regards.
SR

(1) The day his correct date of birth is disclosed, people at large is
likely to lose respect, if any, for him is my personal assessment. (2)
I interacted with him over email. He replied to me once. (3)
Thereafter stopped. Not replied to my pointed query on the birth
records. (4) I can forward those emails to those who wish to read. (5)
I dare him make categorical public statement about his correct date of
birth. (PS :I HAVE NOTHING PERSONAL AGAINST HIM. WHAT ALL I WANT IS
FACT.BE DISCLOSED).

RE: [IAC#RG] : Time for the ACTION to start
IAC is doing great job. Yes we should tackle the evil of corruption from all
angles . Of late I have noticed much better behavior from the beat police
men in Chennai who are giving receipts to fines for traffic offences like
jumping the signlas and wrong parking and so on . That is because of the CM
taking note of small time corruption and becoming strict with her ministers
and party cadres including the lowest councilors!!
IAC should start a campaign to root out the brokers and middle men in the
registrar's offices all over India where lot of money goes to increase the
black money. I asked in a friendly manner a Sub Registrar as to how he was
able to manage to earn and keep thousands of RS every day which he received
under the table !! I was surprised to learn from him that there existed a
system of distributing all such money to the top echelons of BABUs and
parties !!
Same is the case with our Police . Some Police stations receive lakhs as
Mamul regularly . Like in Old delhi and Pondy Bazzar in Chennai !!
We should try and evolve a method of stopping handling of cash in any of
these places . It is now possible as we have IT and electronics to help us .
If Govt. can think of Cash transfer of subsidies using AAdhar and banks ,
well it should be possible ban cash from RTO and Sub Registrar's offices .
This can be extended to all other activities like village offices and issue
of various certificates by the local govt. staff . Do try and explore this
idea .

The new IAC management had taken over on 18.Oct.2012.
It has taken us about 4 months to set our house in order, understand the issues and aggregate sets of people who seem interested in India's renewal.
By now, it is pretty clear that almost everyone agrees on the basic issues of what ails India and that "corruption" is only a symptom of much deeper problems which have to be understood and fought.
To recap:
1) Absence of Democracy (people's direct participation).
2) Lack of proper governance to favour corporates, cronies and scamsters.
3) Criminalisation of society, coupled with breakdown of law and order.
4) Tensions on our borders, with weakened Armed Forces
5) Dynastic family rule and all pervasive Gandhi-ism
6) Complete breakdown of societal values, education & health delivery systems
7) Rampant corruption in the judiciary
8) Inadequate and crumbling infrastructure
9) Systematic grabbing of land and other natural resources
10) Deeply corrupt media.
On the positive side
1) India has a great Parallel ("black") economy which holds the nation together and insulates us from the economic woes of the rest of the world..
2) India has some of the best laws on the world.
3) India has a common language (English) which is understood almost everywhere in the globe.
4) India has great people who have resisted efforts to divide them
5) India has a functioning bureaucracy.
6) India has a young population and lack of social security systems..
7) Indians have a "can do" entrepreneurial spirit recognised the world over.
8) India has Bharat to back it up.
9) India has a plurality of faiths, cultures and value systems.
10) India still has reasonably fair electoral processes.
All these elements are part of IAC's strategy to contribute to renewing India, and which will be shared over the next few weeks.

Greetings.
Please allow me to briefly state:
1)We Serving Warriors and ESM are disgusted with the irrational/negative attitude of Bureaucrats and Bad politicians of GOI in particular and all political parties(BJP,CPI of all beliefs,Regional partiesviz DMK,TDP, Trinamooll etc ) in general. The reason is purely the Bad politician ,Bad
Babus, and Criminals of society who constitute hardly 01to 05 % of our Nation.Their only objective is plunder and loot of people and nation.
2)WE Serving Warriors and ESM want to live in the present. We want benefits to ESM(Soldiers,Sailors, Airmen, Veernaris)NOW.
3) We request all Indians to take steps to respect their Warrior community by understanding the Warrior ethos ,who take when they join the Warrior community,a oath to protect the motherland from external and now internal foes.
Because of this ethos all nations world wide are respectful and grateful to their Warriors and Veterans. Also the community gives them the privilege of taking their ,"RANK" to GRAVE and Beyond ,the privilege extended Only to Physicians(DOCTORS of Medicine).
4)We Warriors and ESM prefer to pursue issues of common good like welfare of our men and veernaris firstly and then our Officer cadre issues.
In view of the above we veterans would not like to lose focus on egoistic OR personalized issues .We would prefer to concentrate on issues which make an impact presently and as present becomes past and hence affects future of Serving or Veteran Warrior community starting from our men and veer aria. We plead all patriots to help us strive towards that objective.
Views are my own and am sure echoed by most Veterans.

Re: [IAC#RG] RTI - Do we have the Right to Know Correct Date of Birth of Shri V K Singh?
I disagree that this is digging old graves. In fact, it is this tendency to not make waves and let things pass that allows corruption to thrive. The heads of Armed Forces, Executive and Judiciary are no small matter. It is our failing to hold things up to scrutiny and insisting on transparent decision making on matters of interest to the country that allows corruption to continue - indeed continue in a planned manner "if caught, weather it for a few days, it will pass".
Today, there was news that Lt. Col. Purohit continues to receive his salary in jail. Ajit Pawar is back in action in new and improved role after casually shrugging off his responsibility for the state of irrigation in Maharashtra. All these are also now old graves.
I think if one's best reason for not asking too many questions and rocking boats is to let sleeping dogs lie, then anti-corruption may not be the best goal to have.
I think the questions are fair enough and the whole episode stinks of the government pulling off a fast one in a brazen attack on one of the pillars of democracy. Perhaps it is not so, perhaps it is, but this needs to be clear, not left at whatever status quo gets pulled out of a hat of impunity.

This is not digging graves but we have to learn the lesson that the present UPA govt played foul to the extent of being trecherous in Gen V K Sinhg's dob case. So we better be guarded about everything these traitors do!

Dear Shri Vaghela
The objective of IAC's list managers is to ensure delivery of IAC emails to the inbox of its members.
You have taken some anti-movement steps to obstruct these objectives. These include
a. Sending 20 emails everyday to the list on your personal and unsuccessful efforts against corruption since 2005. These emails are packed with external links which set off spam and virus filters in every email network our messages transit through.
b. Marking IAC emails as Spam in your various accounts
c. Making public allegations of bias and arbitrariness against IAC's moderators etc.
d. Disregarding polite clarifications repeatedly given to you about IAC's transparent and rational moderation policy
Hence at IAC we are giving you 1 final opportunity to either conform to IAC's way of working, or else to join Team Anna (as we have arranged for you) so that you can exit gracefully from the movement.
Your reply, if any, shall be published.

Re: [IAC#RG] WITH CORRUPTION RIDDEN ADMINISTRATION , BUDGET MEANS NOTHING
Change will only come when knowledgeable and empowered individuals enforce their own rights themselves.
Platforms such as India Against Corruption exist for citizens to come together for mutual benefit and enhanced knowledge in their private battles and to understand the vast size and structure of the "crocodile" and its weak points.
The email list facility is being misused by a few persons, IAC is taking steps against them to allow the movement to proceed forward.

Re: [IAC#RG] RTI - Do we have the Right to Know Correct Date of Birth of Shri V K Singh?
Dear All
I agree with the Rear Admiral Tanejaji . IAC can prove its relevance to the entire civil society only by exposing a wrong doing without an iota of doubt. One concrete corrective action will yield the benefit which a thousand efforts of propaganda cannot achieve. Gen V.K Singh's case presents an excellent opportunity and challenge for more energetic and active members of IAC. Will they respond?
With regards
N.Natarajan

By letting the matter remain unresolved, we are only swallowing another injustice. There is not even an iota of doubt that General VK Singh's date of birth is indeed May 51 as clearly brought out and substantiated by him. Perhaps, at a time like this when the country is faced with unprecedented crises of both 'governance' and 'corruption', reopening this can of worms which is squarely and unashamedly of the governments making, tantamounts to shifting the focus from the larger issues.
Doubtless, when there is a saner and unautocratic dispensation in place, a post mortem of this case will lead to 'egg on the face' of the perpetrator (read - conspirators). Unfortunately they have long since stop feeling ashamed.
I normally keep a listening watch on this site - not that I am any the less perturbed with the sad turn (nadir) that our nations polity has taken. In this case, since I have dealt with similar issues, I felt the need to clarify in the hope that it contributes to putting the matter onto the backburner.

He is not Shri V K Singh . He is General V K Singh (Retd ) . Why are we trying to retrieve the dead bodies from the graves ? We are wasting our time as usual being Indians . Don't we have better things to do ?

Re: [IAC#RG] WITH CORRUPTION RIDDEN ADMINISTRATION , BUDGET MEANS NOTHING
Will my dear friends not like to know that:
Complex issues/challenges are not explained through simplistic linear
explanations/solutions;
System's approach is best suited to understanding/addressing complex issues;
No point in acting like blind men defining "elephant",through partial
understanding of the complex issues;
Even though normally we tend to say that "good is not good enough",at
some stage"best becomes enemy of good",in what is also
called"paralysis,by analysis",and hence some thoughtful
initiative(with a modicum of SWOT analysis),is better than abject
passivity,and
In fighting, and that, too, for trivial/irrelevant matters does no good
to our common mission.
So dear friends, let's see how we all could conjointly, apart from
individually, contribute systematically to the cause of "good
governance".
Prevention of corruption(from sysremic/larger to stand-alone/petty,in
prioritised manner),in direct and indirect ways,is one the best ways
of achieving good governance, even as per WB/IMF.
Success int wo third of last two decades of service as
leader/professional/topcop in VIGILANCE and ANTI-CORRUTION arena was
possible, interalia,on account of imbibing the simple principle:Be the
change you want to see.So the cardinal principle for all activists
is,"Those who live in glass houses don't throw(generally) stone on
others".
Its great pleasure seeing some of the best brains pooling their
intellectual might in yhe cause of nation building.
Let the energies not be frittered away in side-tracking the issues. Its
also essential to motivate/inspire people to come out of their comfort
zone and build a critical mass, whose voice simply can't be ignored.
I'm doing so at my level,in a highly scientific manner, and wish each
one did so ,through multiplier effect.

dear sri kalyanam,
I fully endorse the view expressed by you. But I bring to your kind notice the fate of the protest, Fast,Rally organised last year by Sri Anna Hazare? Peoples from all over world, all walks of life during the said dharana whole-heartily supported,What happened after wards.Due the drama played by these centre leaders the spirit created by the said movement has been cooled down.Unless a sustained, continous efforts to awakening and serious struggle like non co operation movement (just during freedom struggle)
co-ordination between like minded peoples who are also on the forefront to joining them in this great cause.

He conveniently keeps his eyes and mouth closed , while the fact is that he has all the powers to enforce probity in public life , if only he has the desire, will and administrative acumen. This budget which the Prime Minister and Finance minister claim as one of thoughtful exercise , is a wasteful document as far as the common man is concerned, who now realises that anything positive can happen in the country only with the eradication of corruption. In such corrupt conditions, the budget is a proposal in vacuum, as the implementing machinery continues to remain dishonest.N.S.VenkataramanNandini Voice for The DeprivedEmail:- nsvenkatchennai@gmail.com

[IAC#RG] PMO Vs IAC
Dear All, I sent 62 Emails to PM during April-June 2008 making
Suggestions & Complaints. As action was not taken, I used RTI to PMO
seeking ATR. The response was 'since emails were on varied subjects,
action could not be taken'. IAC seems to be following similar policy
in curtailing the postings using PMO PIO like logic. Regards,

Re: [IAC#RG] WITH CORRUPTION RIDDEN ADMINISTRATION , BUDGET MEANS NOTHING
According to me the essence of democracy is tolerance, mutual respect among people having conflicting views and peaceful propagation of ones viewpoint by discussion and debate .Selfriteous coersion and bullying have no place in it.

Dear Mr. Vijaya Singh, So, you want all to be a silent spectator and keep quite whatever atrocities and irregularities happening in the country. Just imagine, if our Freedom Fighters had also kept quite like what you think, what would have happened to the country. We would have been still slaves of the British and continued to be slaves. You like that ? IAC has named its email id as indiaresists@lists.riseup.net. What does it mean ? Answer is in the question itself. There are so many ways to show the Public dissatisfaction to the Govt. policies. In a democracy, fasting, strike, peaceful demonstration, slogan shouting, dharna etc., etc., are some of the ways to show the resentment by the aggrieved public. If resentments are not expressed by some means of protests, the Govt. will come to conclution that whatever they do is right and people are with them. It is most surprising that even after exposure of so many Scams by the present Govt. you are of the opinion that slogan shouting and dharnas are the problems of the country. God save our Democracy !!
