I was surprised that despite your claiming to be a CA your knowledge of basic maths / statistics is so poor. (Then I saw you are from Agra).
Assuming there are 25,000 subscribers to this mailing list, the resultant maths of a sample size of 164 from 25,000 means that the margin of error is only 7% as compared to if all 25,000 had been polled.
Now here is another query to test your maths/stats/probs
What is the probability that the cup of tea/coffee/water you drunk today contains water which was piddled by me.
a) less than 1%
b) More than 99%
This is a serious query.
