Dear Mr. Roy,
This was only my personal feeling. I receive a lot of your comments which may be through indiaresists. I enjoy it. I like Narendra Modi, and I don't like Nehruvian Congress and its allies, which is mostly based on material, that is OK.
But based on what I have watched comments through facebook and comments on other pages and other lots, I don't find Nitish Kumar and PC (even if we leave aside Mamata) that they are that much popular to comparable to Modi. It may be my limitation but I don't know who is Nandan Nilekani. I think the voting probably is based on some geographical or some selective boundary.
There is a tendency of some group to float one or other framed voting, the result of which mostly depends upon the contacts one has on internet and how many are freely available to opt for voting. There are many times willfully designed voting options to arrive predetermined result and to confuse to those who have least sense of significance. TV channels are actively following this system tactfully.
As to what you said "There is another possibility you should consider - Mr. Modi has been winning Gujarat because of EVM tampering and his charishma will evaporate if voting is free and fair." is a very lengthy discussion for those who are simply depending upon so called learned media. I have observed in 2002, 2007 and 2012, where simply media had played a significant roll to reduce the Modi's seats. Every time the media has created a havoc against Modi, and avoided to reflect the feeling of people of Gujarat. It is next to impossible to wide spread EVM tempering, when Modi gets land side victory. Modi had tried to introduce possible compulsory voting, but nehruvian congress and its opponents at center did not allow it (through the state governor). It is a normal feeling of common mass of Gujarat that in case of compulsory voting Modi could get much more seats than what he got in last assembly elections.
Thank you for response.
Shirish Dave

Dear Mr. Dave
I can assure you that those figures were actually entered by somebody.
But you ought it try it out for yourself (and please tell your friends at mediamonitor and issuesonline also and ask them to vote for Mr. Modi).
Step #1
http://iac0005.eu5.org/poll/results.php?pollid=1
Note down a) the total number of votes already entered b) The votes already cast in favour of your candidate
Step #2
http://iac0005.eu5.org/IAC_POLL_0001.html
click on the button next to your candidate and click "submit"
If nobody else (including you) has previously cast a vote from your IP Address, you will see that your candidates vote and also the Total vote has increased by the number of valid votes cast by yourself AND by any other voter in the time between Steps #1 and #2.
You can always use Step #1 to keep checking (as long as the poll is running) that the voting is taking place smoothly (ie. no "disappearing votes").
I really can't explain why Mr. Narendra Modi has such few supporters in our group. Similarly I cannot explain why Ms. Sonia Gandhi is perceived to be so "not honest" either.
In our next poll we'll see if proportional voting will improve the situation. Maybe Mr. Narendra Modi is the 2nd choice for almost everyone on this group. Maybe all his votes switched to Baba Ramdev.
There is another possibility you should consider - Mr. Modi has been winning Gujarat because of EVM tampering and his charishma will evaporate if voting is free and fair.

This only reflects the "reality" of those educated internet connected armchair persons who read IAC's mailing lists and took some time to respond to the poll. We openly say it may be very different from ground realities. But, in my personal opinion it shows a core set of people who may be crucial in India-2014 with their relative personal integrities. For instance the Congress being unable to keep Mamta Banerjee on CBI leash has launched this Ponzi Chit Fund scam to control her, so Mamta will have to dump all these wheeler dealers like K.D. Singh to retain her "honesty" with IAC in future. Insofar as the Poll itself goes, anyone on the internet knowing the link could have voted, and the results were openly available in real time to anybody with an internet connection. As both the links are functional you can still test it out for yourself. (The vote-by-vote record is available to IAC techs). IAC is NOT a representative sample of India SarbajitOn Sat, May 4, 2013 at 1:40 PM, moorty yechury <myechury@yahoo.com> wrote:Let us see how it effects the reality. Also let us the correctness of this with actualityYVSR MOORTYSent: Saturday, May 4, 2013 10:33 AMSubject: Re: [IAC#RG] Final Opinion Poll resultsPost: "indiaresists@lists.riseup.net"Exit: "indiaresists-unsubscribe@lists.riseup.net"Quit: "https://lists.riseup.net/www/signoff/indiaresists" Help: https://help.riseup.net/en/list-userWWW : http://indiaagainstcorruption.net.in/POLL for India's most honest person
