Re: [IAC++] [HumJanenge] Plan to Prevent Corruption & other Democratic Evils

Dear Kris

The last time demonetisation happened in 1978,  the Govt passed an Act declaring notes of Rs. 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 not to be legal tender.  By those standards and considering real inflation today (at 25% compounded y-o-y) those High Value notes would be of Rs.20 lakhs, 1 crores and 2 crore respectively. You can do the calculations yourself using an exponent of 1.25 raised to the power 34  [eg. 1000*(1.25)^34]
"People like Sarbajit" have no objection if RBI's notes of Rs 10 lakhs and above are demonetised.

You have also overlooked the impact of technology and surveillance. All the .Big black money deals are being done abroad or involve bullion or transfer of other tangible assets like land, jewelry, shares in dummy companies and so on .  Your approach says its perfectly OK for,  say, a Bobby Vadra to get his commissions of Billions salted in Banks in London or Zurich, but some poor Customs Appraiser who "earns" bribes of say 10 lakhs a year due to his hard work and personal overtime to be punished.

Your approach clearly misses how politicians operate. They have their trusted "Bankers". Everything is done benami. Funds are available on call. Today 50% of the trading in Indian markets like say stock market is actually done abroad - will your approach of demonetisation and financial tracking in India sort it out ?

Can you name me even 1 large country in the world which has totally eliminated CASH ? Please tell me. I am really interested in seeing your method so that the big fish like Politicians, Ministers, top industrialists, top bureaucrats and Judges are firmly in the bag.

Would it not be simpler to simply eliminate the stock markets, commodity markets  and other so-called liquid markets which have created all this froth and where these "Private Bankers" hide parts of their money ?

Premji,

The magic wand is demonetizing currency in stages and making black money impotent. Introduce indelible transaction tracking. Make transactions public to take the power out of politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen, middlemen, etc. Once total transparency is made mandatory, accountability automatically sets in.  Corruption would become a thing of the padt. Come elections and demand on high value currency notes woukd go up. Instead of fighting corruption, unfortunately people like Sarbajit are demanding introduction of Rs. 5,000 and Rs. 10,000 currency notes. The level of corruption would only go uo. Could you and others think of  better and sure solution to eradicate corruption?

Best,
Kris Dev.

Since human nature is by and large the same through the world, it is the systems which help in reducing Corruption. Think Globally and Act Locally
Our causes of Corrution are
1. Confused Nehruvian Scialism, Say good bye to Indian brand of Socialism. All Socialists and Communists countries are corrupt in the world including China.
2. Least corrupt countries in the world are where Local Governments are strong and effective. We have weak and ineffective local governments.
3. Least corrupt countries make distinction between spiritualism and spirtuality. So they do not have thousands of Gurus, Swamis, Babas etc to spread fake spirtualism. Spirituality is spiritual science which covers subjects like good governance, swaraj (self rule), hydraheaded Corruption, ethics, distinction between Soul, manifested soul and Spirit, non vilolence of the strong, purpose of human birth etc. Spiritualism does nor cover any of these subjects and tends to lead toward egoistic and materialistic Godmen and fake dealers of Hope.
We Indians are not moving an inch to eradicate corruption. Kejriwal hate campaign is not the solution. Anna Hazare and Baba Ram Dev are offering better but not perfect solutions.

Prem Sabhlok

Dear All,

Namaste!

My Plan to Prevent Corruption & all other Democratic Evils:
1. Replace bogus Representation of Peoples Act, 1950-51 with new JanPratinidhi Act enacted with     public suggestions.
2. Introduce Voters Education & Protection.
3. Scrap UPSC/State PSCs & create more institutions to qualify Public Servants with Public Spirit.
4. Reserve Rajya Sabha entirely for Civil Society to balance Politics Vs Civil Society.
5. Create Regulator for Political Parties like Regulators for other organisations.
6. Enact excellent Corporate Laws purely in national/public interest.
7. Strengthening Right to Information Act, 2005 for excellent public accountability & transparency.
8. Enacting & Enforcing Excellent Citizens Charter for Excellent Public Service.
9. Reviewing & Scrapping present laws unsuitable to Democracy.
10. Holding Constitutional Heads, ie, President & Governors of States responsible for better Governance.
Are citizens ready and willing to work for this plan?
Best regards,
