As per this list's rules once AAP actually becomes a political party we should stop discussing about it.
I also wonder of Ms. Kiran Bedi can be categorised as either a) a top leader b) a real activist.
Regarding IAC doing nothing. It is correct that we have only taken over management of IAC recently and are still working out what to do. Please be assured we are carefully listening to everybody - and IAC's final manifesto will be very broadbased and grassroot oriented to allow local issues to be highlighted.

IAC movement during Aana time was known as a movement of activist. But when AAP is formed as political outfit, it seem all real activist that includes top leaders like Kiran Bedi etc as well local grassroots one have separated out or may be separate out in due course if AAP continue to run in present form. It seem presently is in control of political ambitious people even at local level. Presently AAP is on a new membership drive to show strength and get registered with Election commissioner as political party but in absence of real activists in its present membership list, there seem to be no interest in local and regional issues. The top leadership at local level need citizen to get their personal ambitions fulfilled without showing any concern to improve local governance and corruption. This is the time citizen use them rather then their getting used by these new politicians. Now is the time for citizens to force these new politicians to take up regional issues. Ur cooperation is needed to cover and take this message across the Mumbai, Maharashtra and nation, to make Mumbai, Maharashtra as well nation, a better place.to live in.
Though it is call Aam Aadmi Party but there is no mechanism by which this Aam Aadmi could make his voice heard by the top leadership sitting at Delhi. Like any other political party even AAP has High Command sitting at Delhi and lower local level coordinators make no efforts to make these Aam Aadmi issues being carried forward to this High command. I wish that AK finds time to visit suich social media pages and interact and post his views and comments on issues posted by we Aam Aadmi, not necessary every post but at least some posts which he may find really worth commenting and expressing his views. Some secretary can easily do this on his behalf since he a;ready runs a regular party office and he really wish to call himself a Aam Aadmi representative.
Well up till now. my conclusion on joining any IAC or AAP page seem to be waste of time as no concrete results seem to be coming from postings over there. UPA Govt manages to get majority support for FDI and Nuclear Bill but not for Janlokpal in Parliament, why? well this goes even for AAP. It is true for all political parties and politicians, that is the reason wise people always said stay away from politics and politicians. AK fights for Delhi electricity issue or slums displacement issue but somehow issues related to other cities and state like Mumbai or Maharashtra do not seem to reach him, for unknown reasons, so these issues never see light of the day. Why AAP fails in making use of social media and addressing Aam admi issues posted on its social media sites ? every political party or politician wish to use public rather than become useful to public. Whether it is Congress of AAP, each one is just interested in achieving its goal or personal agenda but not public causes. On individual level all activist make best effords to improve society but their efforts have limitations. A collective efforts of a group with proper coordination and support of organised group like AAP, could surely bring much better results but unfortunately and foolishly it is not being used because the motives of top leadership at local level is not activism but power.
Neglect of public issue clearly indicates where the organisation is going. Well, it does not need intelligence of rocket science to understand from the response one get when a public issue is posted on its social sites, how much importance it is getting out of 35 thousand plus membership of just Mumbai region site. It seem that out of these 35,000 plus not many r like minded activist but obviously politically minded. If we all r working for betterment of society and truth and believe and know that we r on right path, than nothing stops us from saying the truth. If AAP has right people with it, than surely it can make a difference in society, even without being in power. That is the reason i expect them to take public issues. The question is not that in future whether they would be in power or not, but the question is what r they doing at present with so much of present mass support. R they utilizing it in right direction ? Is the focus towards future power or present good for society? Present good for society would definitely increase their chances of coming to power. My interest of joining them was not to see them in power but to see them doing something positive for society at present. If they r not into it than why i am with them ? By giving our valuable time, non of us r doing favor or r trying to please any one. We do it because it is each one of us duty to do so. If they take up public issue they either doing it for themselves or for society but definitely not for a individual like me. I may propose a issue on which i may have some advance knowledge but the issue is in no way a personal and the reason for bring it to AAP, is to give it more strength with it present mass support. There may be n numbers like me who wish to join AAP but fear it to be political, which surely at present it seem to be. When YP wrote few thing in past about Anna movement. i use to cross question him. Whether it is YP or me, when we feel hurt seeing our expectation getting ruined, we r forced to educate people of fact. here intentions r not to criticize or weaken the movement but to see that the movement if possible goes in right direction, because after much suffering people of this great nation had some hope but again some miscreants seem to have high-checked all hopes.jitendra gupta
