I am A.S. KALYANAM, retired from a Public Sector Oil Company. During later part of my Service, I worked as a Manager (LPG Sales) primarily to look after ensuring uninterrupted supply of most essential domestic fuel the LPG. Ensuring uninterrupted supply of highly subsidized Domestic LPG is very difficult due to wide gap in Supply and Demand. The Domestic LPG is very cheap compared to other fuels, due to high subsidy. There will be large scale diversion by unscrupulous/unsocial elements including Domestic Customers who pretend to be genuine. We conduct regular raids mostly the Eateries big and small, most improvised illegal filling units to seize the Domestic cylinders (they illegally procure highly subsidized Domestic LPG cylinders from unscrupulous LPG Distributors and customers and transfer the LPG into Commercial NON-Subsidized cylinders by improvised highly risky/unsafe methods/units) and make huge illegal profits. When we seize the cylinders and file FIR with the Inspector, Civil Supplies (Vigilance) the illegal operators would try to bribe the Officers to Bribe us and if we don't bulge, we will be threatened with dare consequences. Most of us won't bulge to the pressure and file FIR. Similarly, so many customers will approach us for getting new Gas connections(at that time, it was in great demand) additional cylinder i.e. second cylinder, transfer of gas connections in their name purchased illegally, getting re-connection obtained from North Eastern States/Jammu and Kashmir/Hill Stations/Army Canteens (These Canteens are not expected to give new gas connections to Civilians) where it is available "Across the Counter" throughout the year, (These connections cannot be transferred within a year unless it is an official transfer) Fake/Bogus Vouchers, Fake Cylinders/Pressure Regulators. Fake/Bogus MP Coupons/MOP&NG Priority Vouchers etc., etc., approach us for favours. For all these illegal cases, we will have to take serious action against such offenders. The customers will try to Bribe to get their illegal action considered favourably. Normally, we won't bulge and succumb to pressures. Most of the LPG Distributors are politicians or their kith and kin or Binamies. There will be lot of pressure to clear the illegal cases. But we don't succumb to pressures. Similarly, lot of illegal activities going on adulteration of highly subsidized Kerosene with Petrol and Diesel. We used to take lot of action to unearth such clandestine operations risking our life. Take the case of late Shri Manjunath, a very sincere and committed Officer who was killed by Goons/illegal Operators for taking action on adulteration of Petrol. There are so many sincere and committed Officers like Mr. Manjunath risking their life. We can only file FIR against the illegal operators. But, somehow, they get out of the cases by bribing DROs, DSOs, Civil Supplies (Vigilance).
Why I narrate all these, even though there were so many opportunities for corruption, but none of us will go with the illegal operators taking Bribe. I am not trying to boost. You may laugh on reading this. But it is a fact. Most of us never demand, receive or give Bribe.
We have been witnessing for a quite long time, corruption in each and every departments of Govt. and Private Sector also. In recent times, we are witnessing lakhs of People participate in the IAC Fast and Meetings. Most of them may be working in the Govt. departments or Private Sector. LET ALL THE FOLLOWERS OF IAC ( NOW THERE ARE TOO MANY IAC GROUPS) AND ARVIND KEJRIVAL'S AAP, TAKE A SOLEMN VOW THAT THEY WILL NEITHER DEMAND NOR GIVE BRIBE WHILE DISCHARGING THEIR DUTIES IN THE OFFICE. LET THEM NOT GIVE BRIBE TO GET THEIR PERSONAL JOBS DONE IN ANY DEPARTMENT OF THE GOVT. LET THEM WEAR A VERY CONSPICUOUS BATCH IN THEIR SHIRT DEPICTING THAT THEY ARE AGAINST CORRUPTION. LET THEM PUT A BOARD IN THEIR WORKING TABLE IN THE OFFICE THAT THEY ARE AGAINST CORRUPTION. LET THEM WAIT TILL THEIR TURN COME TO GET THEIR JOB DONE INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING SHORT CIRCUIT METHOD BY BRIBING THE STAFF OR OFFICIALS. IF ALL THE FOLLOWERS OF IAC OR AAP FOLLOW "NEITHER GIVE NOR TAKE BRIBE POLICY" CERTAINLY SIZABLE PERCENTAGE OF CORRUPTION WILL COME DOWN. IF THIS IS FOLLOWED, THERE WILL BE A CONSIDERABLE RELIEF TO THE COMMON MAN. WHILE VOTING IN THE ELECTIONS WHETHER IT IS PANCHAYAT, MUNICIPAL, CORPORATION, ASSEMBLY OR PARLIAMENT, LET THEM NOT VOTE TO THE POLITICIANS WHO DEMAND BRIBE. LET THE IAC FOLLOWERS STOP TAKING BRIBE IN CASH OR KIND, FROM THE CONTESTANTS ON THE EVE OF ELECTIONS. STOPPING CORRUPTION IS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE.
THE IAC TEAM TRIED THEIR LEVEL BEST TO ENACT JAN LOKPAL BILL. THE RULING UPA DID LOT OF MANOEUVRE NOT TO PASS THE BILL AND EQUALLY THE OPPN. ALSO TRIED TO STALL THE BILL. SO, IT IS A MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION, WHEN A STRONG LOKPAL BILL WILL BE PASSED. THE ONLY OPTION IS THAT THE PARLIAMENT SHOULD BE REPRESENTED BY ONLY MPs WHO WANT THAT A STRONG LOKPAL BILL IS PASSED. UNLESS THE IAC IS A POLITICAL PARTY IT CANNOT CONTEST ELECTIONS AND GET ELECTED TO REPRESENT THE PARLIAMENT TO PASS THE LOKPAL BILL. SO, THE DECISION OF ARVIND KEJRIVAL IN FORMING A POLITICAL PARTY TO FIGHT THE CORRUPTION IS THE CORRECT DECISION. ANNA HAZARE AND KIRAN BEDI, SANTHOSH HEGDE AND OTHER IAC MEMBERS SHOULD HAVE AGREED WITH THE ARVIND KEJRIVAL's PROPOSAL OF FORMING A POLITICAL PARTY TO FIGHT THE CORRUPTION WHICH IS THE ONLY OPTION TO REPRESENT THE PARLIAMENT AND GET THE LOKPAL BILL PASSED AS BOTH RULING UPA AND THE OPPN. IS NOT SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO PASS THE LOKPAL BILL.
THE RULING UPA HAS ACHIEVED ITS GOAL OF BREAKING THE IAC MOVEMENT VERY CLEVERLY BY CRATING DIFFERENCES WITHIN THE IAC CADRE. THE UPA IS VERY CLEVERLY FOLLOWING THE BRITISH IDEOLOGY OF 'DIVIDE AND RULE" . BRITISH CAME TO INDIA AS EAST INDIA COMPANY FOR TRADING. CLOSELY OBSERVING THE DIVISIONS IN THE INDIAN PRINCELY STATES, ONE BY ONE THEY BROUGHT THEM UNDER THEIR CONTROL AND MADE INDIA AS BRITISH COLONY. WITH SO MANY DIVISIONS IN INDIA NOW, IT MAY NOT BE SURPRISING IN THE NEAR FUTURE, INDIA MAY AGAIN BECOME A COLONY OF SOME FOREIGN POWER FUELED WITH THE PASSING OF FDI IN RETAIL AND MORE FDI TO FOLLOW AS PER THE POLICIES OF UPA.
IF INDIA TO REMAIN AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY, ALL INDIANS SHOULD STOP HATING OTHER RELIGIONS AND BECOME REAL SECULAR NOT BY MERE WORDS, BUT BY DEEDS. RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR. CORRUPT POLITICIANS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTEST ELECTIONS. ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES/MINISTERS INCLUDING PM, PRESIDENT, VP, GOVERNORS, CMs WHO ARE SUSPECTED TO BE INVOLVED IN ANY CORRUPTION CASES, SHOULD BE RECALLED IMMEDIATELY, AND ONLY AFTER THEY ARE CLEARED OF ALL CHARGES, ALLOWED TO REPRESENT THE PANCHAYAT, MUNICIPAL, CORPORATION, ASSEMBLY AND PARLIAMENT. CONSTITUTION SHOULD BE AMENDED TO BAR CORRUPT POLITICIANS AND THEIR KITH AND KIN CONTESTING ELECTIONS. ALL CORRUPT POLITICIANS AND THEIR KITH AND KIN BARRED FOR THEIR LIFE TIME CONTESTING ELECTIONS. ALL THE LIKE MINDED ENLIGHTENED CITIZENS INTERESTED TO ROOT OUT CORRUPTION, SHOULD JOIN HANDS AND WORK TOGETHER INSTEAD OF CREATING RIFT IN THE RANK AND FILE OF THE ANTI CORRUPTION MOVEMENT WHICH WILL ONLY HELP THE CORRUPT POLITICIANS TO DEFECT THE ANTI CORRUPTION MOVEMENT.

I did not know who Mr Roy was until last month. Like many others in IAC we only knew about Arvindji and Prashnat Bhusan etc. and believe all their lies. Only in past month I have come to know about Mr Sarbajit and how greater person he is in RTI.
Even though people like us were appointed as coordinatrors for IAC by Team-Arbind, we were never really the part of his setup, every thing was done by High Command of Arvind and his team and we we were always treated shabbily and outsider and become very disillusion. Then we found they were all communal people of the particular idelogy, so we openly recorded some of the Team-Arvind meetings where agenda of RSS was being promoted to form political party which we never supported.
Whoever is doing this new IAC exercise or their motive, at least their is still some channel of communication and spirit of IAC lives on. I have no problem with Mr Sarbajit, at least somebody sensible and powerfull has taken the intiative and has kept revolutionary banner of IAC still flying after Arvind and Anna had trample it in the mud.
We wish them all success and we are with them.

I'm sure most in this list feel it is dominated by one person Sarbajit who hijacks all discussions, sits in judgement over everyone elses's remarks and passes his dictates.
I'm getting fed up. I'm sure many others too. Nothing much is coming out decrying IAC, Anna, Arvind, etc.
Instead we can focus our energy on achieving concrete results on the ground.
I'm not sure if this msg will be circulated by Sarbajit. If done, let others feel free to express their opinions.
