[IAC++] IAC's support model for grassroot missions/activism.

Dear Jitu  (copy to IAC list for wider process)

You have emailed 4 detailed proposals for IAC list today under the title "Lets do something constructive". Some are local, some have wider import. They deal with a) PNG versus CNG in certain pockets of Mumbai b) Monopoly of Tatas over lakes and rivers in parts of Maharashtra c)  cell tower radiation in Mumbai/nationally d) some amended rules of Maharashtra Govt.

On behalf of IAC, I am formally informing you that all your 4 proposals are "pending" till IAC can evolve a mechanism to handle such issues and also achieve consensus on how local issues are to be integrated with IAC's national objectives.

At present the (experimental) solution we propose/ suggest  is as follows:-

1) Jitu (and others interested in such local issues) will become members of "we.riseup.net".
at this link [ https://we.riseup.net/account/signup ] .
("Riseup" collective offers a platform/suite of tools called "crabgrass" for activist grassroot movements - IAC has surveyed various alternatives and has chosen to be on RISEUP)

2) After this Jitu will think of a suitable name for an IAC "Committee" to discuss and join him for action. He will email this name to me (offlist). IAC will then open a riseup sub-Committee for Jitu and friends. Since it is a IAC sub-Committee, Moderators of IAC@riseup have automatic access to the sub-committee's proceedings. and are available for any assistance (especially with riseup coding) - and will not generally interfere/hijack discussions).

[ Jitu, Once you do this, your 4 proposals will be circulated to the IAC list  one-by-one at times when they will be positively received. ]

3) Once Jitu's sub-Committee achieves critical mass and velocity, they can split off from IAC and form their own group. If they choose to remain on the riseup platform they can "network" with IAC. This is known as the "Amoeba growth model".

4) This main IAC mailing list is always available to access the wisdom/resources of the larger membership and the IAC collective

Suggestions/Comments/(Request for Clarity) from IAC list members are invited. (IAC has no High Commands). However, we do have to set down certain bare common objectives/goals if IAC has to be involved with the local grassroot missions and existing national movements such as IESMs, Doctors, Engineers etc.
