Chief Minister, Govt of Maharashtra, Mumbai
Dear Sir,
Reference Media News: Adarsh: Babu defies govt's suspension order, attends office
What is happening is very very serious and cannot be accepted as not being in larger public interest.
Discipline amongst the bureaucrats, who may probably be considering themselves above the law of the land since being protected by unscrupulous politicians, must appreciate the winds of change taking place on accountability of public servants and also must understand that they are not above the law of the land.
Having issued Suspension Order by the empowered authority must reach him / acknowledged by him and implemented also without further waste of time leading to possible complications.
Incidentally, for using RTI & making correspondence in the matter, Mr G C Daga Director (Marketing) Indian Oil Corporation Limited issued me Suspension Order at noon on 5th April 2007. I picked up my personal things in the office, told my Junior Officer about it and, within 10 minutes, I left Office for having lunch at home.
If Mr Ramanand Tiwari defies the Order & still attending Office, please use Police Officers to push him out of SIC Office. If he still resists, please arrest him and put him behind bars. Further, Suspension Order is just not sufficient. Under RTI Act, his services must be terminated forthwith. If he wants legal recourse for justice, let him do it once out of Office.
The corrupt ex IAS Officer has no business to be in Office now.
Regards,
Adarsh: Babu defies govt's suspension order, attends office A defiant Ramanand Tiwari continues to attend office despite the Maharashtra government recommending his suspension as the state's Information Commissioner and barring him from remaining present in office till the inquiry into Adarsh housing scam is over. "I continue to attend office as I have not got any communication from the state government asking me not to attend office," Tiwari, a retired IAS officer whose son owns a flat in Adarsh society, told PTI. Alleging "misconduct" by Tiwari in the Adarsh Housing Society scam, the state cabinet had on January 11 recommended his suspension to Governor K Sankaranarayanan. Another retired IAS officer Subhash Lalla resigned as member of the State Human Rights Commission last week. The government had asked Tiwari to quit the post on moral grounds but he defiantly rejected the suggestion and instead applied for a three-month leave, which was turned down by the Governor. The cabinet recommended the Governor refer to the Supreme Court the matter of misconduct by Tiwari, under section 17 of the Right to Information Act. It also suggested that Tiwari be suspended from the post and barred from attending office till the inquiry is on. "For Tiwari to continue in office is not in the interest of the state. We have submitted enough grounds to take action against Tiwari and the Governor will send the recommendation to the Supreme Court which will hold an inquiry and decide whether to suspend him or terminate his services," Chavan had said after the cabinet meeting. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/adarsh-babu-defies-govts-suspension-order-attends-office/737458/
