Feroz Gandhi died in New Delhi.

He suffered a heart attack and was taken to the  Willingdon Hospital (now Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital) where he expired.

He was cremated by the Congress Party. Yashpal Kapoor and other arranged for the cremation (by Arya Samaj rites) - since the Parsis have no Tower of Silence  at Delhi . Since nobody knew what to do with the ashes (Rajiv and Sanjiv had been brainwashed against their father), they were handed over to Feroze's Paris family who buried them at Allahabad.

Feroze hardly had anyrhing to give away, he believed in living life to its full here on earth, so his Will would be of academic.interest. It is well known that he and Indira were separated for all practical purposes and couldn't stand to be near each other.

So what is still left to be known ?

At least Rajiv in later years acknowledged he was a Parsi (even if not a Zorastrian) , and some (not all) Parsis in India were proud to have a "Parsi" (ie. Persian) Prime Minister.

Thanks for elucidative and clear-headed narration. Many issues have been illuminated especially about Feroz's lineage and circumstances surrounding legality of his marriage.

What remains of interest is circumstances surrounding his death, testamentary document, if any; which would state his instructions after his demise. Will often highlights family positions which otherwise is kept in privacy.

I suppose he was unwell and was taken by wife to Kashmir, where he breathed his last. How were his last rites performed and was any opinion recorded etc.

Feroz's application form for contesting election would also state some of his personal information.
