Mr Krishnan, I repeat what I have said before,  that Mrs Gandhi as a naturalised Indian citizen and her family as the Indian born citizens have all the privileges and the protection of law as any other Indian citizen. If however, you or any one else has any evidence to prove their complicity in the matter of the murder of two Indian fishermen or thereafter, then it will become a completely different matter. Regarding your conjecture of a quid pro quo between the government of India and Italy, here again you will need evidence to prove what is at the moment nothing more than a political statement made by the opposition politrical parties which is quite usual in India.  Regarding your charge that why the GOI did not oppose at the hearing of the case at the SC, all I can say is that you need to find out from the documents filed by the Attorney Gen. .including any affidavit on behalf of the govt. to get to the bottom of the truth.

I agree with you that the issue of the two Italian Marines might prove to be a set back for the smooth investigation of the helicopter bribery case.although the CBI has already identified the possible culprits in the case.  However, I must make one point here that unless you can prove the clear complicity of the Chief Justice of the SC in the whole matter, your conspiracy theory must collapse.Regards Devinder Thakur

Dear Shri Thakur,
Your blank chit about Sonia Gandhi that "they have no direct or indirect involvement in the case" reveals your utter ignorance and a caninelike loyality only exhibited by many time serving Congressmen.
I also do not think that you should take what Shri Sarbjit Singh wrote in simple literary sense. But as many of our ignorant countrymen, you have also shown your naivety in taking this Italian Mariners' episode as a simple diplomatic standoff. The whole thing stinks like an Italian mafia operation.
First,we can not blame the SC for allowing the Mariners to go home.SC is not bothered about diplomacy. They allowed the Mariners' plea since Government prosecutors did not object. Now we can not prevent the Italian Ambassador from going home as per Geneva Convention what ever false information of his being detained etc,Government leaks may show and the paid press may write. He will go home. There will be a temperory diplomatic stand off to fool the people. Many CBI officials and lawyers will visit Italy several times spending crores of public funds.Nothing will happen. It will end up like Quottrochi affair.
Then one may ask, why  the prosecutors did not object. There comes the suspected hand of Congress' "High Command's" connection with the Chpper scam and the quid pro quo.The Italian Prosecutors have already revealed the names of few Indians involved in the scam. They are only minor flies who allegedly managed to get a few agency fees of less than 2% of the loot.CBI has already filed FIR against them since one of them happened to be an Ex-Chief of Air Staff and an high profile target. It is a diversionary tactic played by the CBI to prevent the names of people both Indian and Italian who got the lion's share of the 400 crore loot being revealed by Italy.(CBI's inaction for years in many cases and the way previous CBI Director was  gifted with a Governor's job have made CBI a dubious institution.)
As a part of the alleged quid pro quo, Italian Prosecutors controlled by their Government as also the  FinmechanicaWestland company which is a Government Company now will not reveal the names of Indian and Italian befeciaries. The revelation would have brought down the Government and its superior authority like a house of cards.
In the meanwhile an ignorant public will be doing the futile exercise of splitting hairs and debating about SC verdict till the whole case fades away from their memory.

With regard to Item G, whatever be the outcome of the case with the Italian government. It would be foolish to suggest that Mrs Gandhi and her family be treated as the enemies of India as they have no direct or indirect involvement in the case. Moreover, as citizens of India they have all the rights and protection in law as any other Indian.subject, .notwithstanding the Italian origin of Mrs S Gandhi and the IAC should bear this in mind. Dear IAC members

After reading the 100's of emails (especially the unpublished ones) on the subject issue when linked with Smt. Sonia Gandhi's possible dual nationality it is abundantly clear that the consolidated views of the members are as follows:-

A) That IAC should treat the issue in a national way instead of as political issue to score brownie points

B) That it is a matter of grave national concern if the Italian marines were allowed to leave the country with the full knowledge of the Chief Justice of India knowing that they were unlikely to return, and for which a security was taken.

C) That this is another scandal, like the Bhopal Gas settlement, if the Supreme Court, has again facilitated foreign murderers getting away after heavy bribes are paid to the Congress party (and/or its "dual citizenship" President) to allow them to escape. The "blood money" is no substitute for justice.

D) That this sordid episode reeks of JUDICIAL CORRUPTION and it is nothing but a corruption issue considering that the offenders were in India's judicial custody (albeit enjoying extraordinary privileges and 5 star comfort) and the tables have been turned on the Congress led State Government of Kerala which arrested the marines in the first place and had their notional custody. The Chief Justice of India Mr. Altamas Kabir should immediately resign.

E) That the members want IAC to coordinate with all other like minded forces on this issue.

F) That on Sonia Gandhi's dual nationality question IAC should proceed cautiously to ensure that IAC does not end up with egg on its face in case Mrs. Gandhi has actually renounced her Italian citizenship. However, if she has not done so then it is equally a corruption issue which needs to be vigorously pursued.

G) That if no resolution emerges on the Marines issue by 22 March 2013, then irrespective of the subsequent orders of the Court, India should consider itself at being in a state of war with Italy and that naturalised Indians of Italian origin like Ms. Sonia Gandhi and her family be deemed as enemy aliens and treated as such.

H) That Mr. Harish Salve's integrity and honesty is directly in question if he tendered the guarantees on behalf of his client.

Since the views of the members have been aggregated as above, if anyone wishes them to be modified/amended before they are formally adopted please post short and crisp responses/objections/suggestions to this list and we will try and publish as many as possible, otherwise the above points shall be deemed as adopted.

Sarbajit
