Re: [IAC#RG] URGENT: Important group notice

Dear Ms. Mustafa

The list is being cleansed of persons who are abusing IAC's (limited) resources. They are not being deleted because of their ideology / religion - which right of free expression we shall neither compromise / throttle.

IAC is firmly wedded to the Constitution, secularism and socialism etc. This is detailed in IAC's Charter (which we ensured was drafted and approved shortly after we took over last year).

I think it is high time that Team IAC must  now explain to its subscribers its understanding of terms such as "patriotism" and "nationalism" which have been hijacked by all sorts of persons, groups and parties.

It is pertinent to mention that the History our children and grand children are being taught in schools and through the media is completely distorted, airbrushed  and cartoonised.

For instance to take some trivial examples, one of the failings of our confused younger generation is that they equate Gandhi and Bhagat Singh as patriots in the same breath.

Another trivial failing is that they have been schooled that singing the 'Vande Mataram' (which is an ode to undivided Bengal - not undivided India like the 'Jan Gan Man') is "patriotic".

Since I personally have a long lineage leading into all branches of the Bengal freedom struggle and these litterateurs, I can share that my own personal religion for which BOTH the 'Vande Mataram' as well as the 'Jan Gan Man' were written (in fact both of these hymns were set to music by my great grand aunt Pratibha Sundari Debi nee' Tagore) deprecate them both in favour of another (and even more patriotic)  hymn (only 1 example of which is on youtube), which is the only one we stand up for, as one, as we continue our constant struggle to preserve and improve our nation.

Hope this clarifies better.

Sarbajit.

Dear Mr Roy,
Glad to know that the list is being cleansed. Communal sentiments are not just worrisome but totally against the interests of our country and its beautiful Constitution committed to secularism and socialism

Some of them could be real Hindutva/BJP supporters.

Calling these nationalists/patriots as anti nationals is bad on your part.

It has become fashion for so called pseudo secularists to label any one who disagree with them as RSS/Hindutva/BJP/Antinationals.

Kindly think over this.
