Making it an offence will only put these youngsters open to blackmail and harassment by police and many others.

I fail to see what is wrong with the Bill which seeks to make non-penetrative sex in certain EXCEPTIONAL circumstances NOT a criminal  offence. It is also pertinent to mention that in 2011 the Govt (Law Ministry) wanted to retain 16 years as the age for consensual sex. It was some liberals in the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights group that drafted the alternate Bill to decriminalise sexual exploration by two children. and do the gradation of age down to 12 years.

The IAC list is a premier mailing list of India. We are already a premier activist group of the country. It is very important that we get our facts straight and well researched instead of circulating messages on behalf of other people.
