Dear all,
The points raised by Sanjay / Navneeth are pertinent. The cause is unbridled greed for power, position, authority, accumulation of wealth, securing the future of self and progenies for generations by stashing ill gotten wealth, etc, etc.
Every section of society and every individual contributes to this in some way or other as we have a fear of the unknown to fight the powers that be or to change a corrupt system. It has been built up over generations where might has become right and the statement, 'you're powerful before the powerless; and powerless before the powerful' is true.
We have lost the culture of courage of conviction to call a spade a spade. We've become servile. We're ready to bend to any angle fot perdonal gains. We have no self pride left in us and no ethics to follow. We're just a herd of sheep. We've lost the thinking power. We revere anyone in power, position, authority or the rich. 'Name the person and I'll tell u the rule' is the order of the day. The courage of connections incl. money, caste, religion, etc, can get us out if sny situatuon is our belief. I'm no exception to this general rule.
There may be rare excepyiond, but they are sidelined and disappesr into oblivion. The scoundrel has a field day and is revered in society. Owe unto our society.
Total transparency at all levels of all individuals and organizations, in all actions from womb to tomb alone can redeem our society from the bottomless pit we're in. .
We all should observe a BLACK NEW YEAR and a year of penance as a way of washing of our sins of society.
Best,
Kris Dev.

So many reply but none clearly say " why are we corrupt?" So much confusion - can such a big group who claims to be rising - treating only symptom - and not the cause.

So many replies have been received for Dr.
Sanjay's question "why are we corrupt"? To me the reason is the
degeneration of our culture and religion. One reason for this degeneration may
be our slavery to 1000 years of foregn invaders.Helpless we turned to God.We
found expectation in giving gifts to God.Anything given with an expectation of
some thing in return is bribe. Are we not bribing God from the day we are
born.Has Mallya given 3 crores to Tirupathi recently only as a gift without
expecting anything in return? He might have paid to the Aviation minister and
bureaucrats also for not derecognizing his airlines. If you look at it God is
the biggest bribe taker in our country.Governments can use stringent rules to
curtail corruption but no laws can change this mindset unless our religious leaders
wake up and show us the true path of Sanathan Dharma. We had a chance
immediately after independence. But an irreligious wog ,Nehru prohibited
teaching of true religion in Schools. And the results we are seeing now.

You may be right Mr. Trivedi but education is not merely formal education. Everyone get educated from his or environment too which is called by some of us as "SANSKAR" and all of us proudly says at one or other place that we have given best SANSkAR so was that mean that we ourselves do not know what is good or Bad?

We have not given the proper education to our generation and expecting from them the ethics in life.
Dear all,
Dr. Sanjay has asked the question "why are we corrupt"?
We are in the sphere of 100 % corruption from top to bottom, but we are not in a position to accept the reality "We are corrupt"
It is intellectual tradition to blame others for corruption.
We are total failure at the front of education, "the education is that which release from the bondage of evils"
We have not given the proper education to our generation and expecting from them the ethics in life.
