Re: [IAC++] Fwd: Mandatory CASTRATION for rapists

Dear Kiran

Thanks for responding so promptly.
BYW, we couldn't agree with you more.

IMHO, such gender equity/sensitising issues are much better handled outside the media/list space which tends to promote all kinds of hysterical responses / impractical knee-jerk  pseudo-solutions and diffuse the momentum.

IAC  (the new IAC) proposes setting up a small internal sub-committee/group to

to act as an in-house think-tank/resource, and also for occasional focused campaigns  to achieve small but measurable  actionable points on "Gender equity" (I don't like this tag - but its a working tag).

If you, or anybody else on the list reading this   and working in this area, is interested in participating/networking please write in (by email to me) so that we can do something small but positive together.

Punishment, of any kind, may be tried, but this kind of brutality will stop only when gender based democratic values are strengthen. It is a fight more for the men than the women themselves.
