RE: [HumJanenge] IAS officer fined Rs 27K for holding back information

Mr Anand,

What do you want? just to find faults? First time an IAS officer has been fined for withholding information from
a RTI Applicant. You should be happy if you are against corruption in India and consider RTI a tool of some worth.
As an experienced RTI activist (75 years old) and former Professor of Economics in Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of
Administration, Mussoorie (1981-84) know well that most of the officers find it safe not to reply or if in some cases they are
directed by Central Information Commission to reply within 15 or 30 days; not to implement the decision/order. It is common
under the leadership and patronage of Chief Minister of Delhi.

I am Indian Economic Service officer of 1968 Batch and my Contemporary Mr. Wajahat Habibullah of 1968 Batch of J & K cadre
could not do any thing to bring any change through RTI Act in Delhi Government's Corruption Scenario.

Please don't find faults that 25k should have been not 27K as per the RTI Act. When Chief Information Commissioner is not concerned
about the spirit of the RTI Act, why should you be?
