Re: [HumJanenge] First RTI appeal went in vain

Dear Sir,

What do u mean by RTI letter, was it RTI application along with fee or was just a letter without fee soliciting some information?

If it has accompained with fee, u have both the options, to file complaint to SIC or to file first appeal within 30 days of the due date of RTI reply.  For more details, please read Section 18 of the RTI Act about complaint to SIC/CIC..

U may also check delivery status of RTI letter/ application on Speed Post tracking, if sent by speed post.

In future, please send all the RTI applications by speed post or submit by hand, properly acknowledged, in that case, it will not go in vain.

as per my opinion,  send a reminder and wait for 15 days. if email
address of the commissioner is available, send a scanned copy of the
appeal to him. If no reply comes, go for seocn appeal in the SIC
