Dear Shashi Kumar,
the present fast and pressure on the Govt is not to pass the lok pal bill in the present status as you posted it. the present conflict is about the formation of the Joint committee for which Annaji is demanding the representation of 50 % from Civil Soceity which will formulate the Jan Lok Pal bill. the organization i.e. India against Corruption has already invited the opinions/suggestions from the public since past several months and the bill has been redrafted by more than eight times. this has been drafted by eminent persons like Kejriwal, Santosh Hegde, and Prashant Bhusan. considering the strong provisions of the Jan lok pal bill, the Govt is unwilling to approve it.
regards.

I am saying he is lying
"Pressurising" is anti-citizen. and anti-democratic It creates distortions in the process
and legiitimises that "some pigs are more equal than others".
Are you saying that it is OK for Anna Hazare to use extraordinary methods to agitate his grievance without availing his ordinary remedies ?
If so, by necessary implication are you conceding that Ms Aruna Roy (by virtue of the fact that she is a NAC member) is the only citizen stakeholder to be considered by DoPT for draft RTI Rules ? If so why has DoPT not notified the amended rules incorporating her comments as approved by the NAC ?
This entire drama is being stage managed to ensure that only activists remote controlled by Rahul brigade are on the 50:50 committee for LokPal Bill so that final Bill is a worthless / unenforceable enactment like the RTI Act 2005

There are many matters for which P M not taken any action . What should we understand from this in action?
I think this is better way to pressurize for Good only. What he is personally going to get from the bill?

To: "humjanenge" <humjanenge@googlegroups.com>
Dear fellow members of Humjanenge
This thread is highly moderated. I shall debate any member on the
above subject.
My first point is that Anna Hazare is supposedly aggrieved that he
received no reply (to his numerous letters / representations etc)
from the PM on the Lokpal Bill causing him to go on fast. My own
experience is that the Govt (incl. PMO) works very fast, and ALWAYS
acknowledges an ordinary citizen who uses the front door. By way of
example, (a) the Delhi Police has diarised BOTH my complaints against
Mr Hazare and Ms Bedi and sent me my acknowledgments with diary
numbers within 24 hours (b) The PMO took action on my complaint
against NAC within 96 hours and informed me about their action within
48 hours after that. PLEASE NOTE that these were ordinary emails sent
by an ordinary citizen..
Hence I say that Mr. HAZARE is either an idiot OR he is being
economical with the truth.
Comments are solicited.
