Re: [rti4empowerment] Amazing speed: Mumbai Cybercrime police blocked fake I-T website WITHIN MINUTES of this complaint tonight

Dear All

This fellow is a) a fool b) publicity hound.

1) The email does not contain any link to a ".ca" site.

2) ".ca" TLD (domain) is not for California

3) These kinds of phishing emails are sent out by the millions. The
Mumbai cybercrime authorities cannot block these websites which are
registered outside India so fast.(The actual domain in the email is
"classyspaces.com" which has not been functional since 1998.)

4) To "block" any website requires the Maharashtra Police to forward
the complaint to the Secy(IT)/Mah who in turn will forward it to the
CCA (appointed under IT Act).

For anyone to think that Krish's complaint at 9:07 PM (<--Night) will
result in blocking of a website "within minutes" is the height of
foolishness.

Here is what the truth is.
When you login to these sites by following a coded link, it is a
one-time use link. After you use it, the site access is blocked.
Advanced versions code in IP ranges.

So Krish, if you want the (bitter) truth, come onto the TRUE RTI
groups instead of being a little fish in little ponds.

Warmly,

Sarbajit
