Re: [IAC#RG] 2014, all this hoopla on Narendra Modi for little?

You are very right.It is not only Akhilesh but all the politicians.Look at MMS, Chidambram and all others. Despite being so highly educated they are subservient to Sonia,Rahul and family who have no qualification except Gandhi name attached to them.But ,of all,we are the ones responsible for the currant state of affairs. We are the ones who are electing them time and again despite knowing that they are like termites eating and destroying this country hollow. Time we woke and do what is required to save ourselves.

Why half? No politician can be corrupt without the active support of a bureaucrat but a bureaucrat can be corrupt without any help from the politician, isn't it?

Like his father, Mulayam Singh, Akhilesh only wants funds from the Centre with no one to watch how he spends them.

Only Entitlements ....No Responsibilities.....

I say this even though we should not get carried away by the Durga Shakti Case.
Half the problems we face in our Country are because of the spineless, boot-licking and equally corrupt All India Services.

Now pl concentrate on Akhlesh Yadav n not on Modi. Akhlesh has asked the Centre to take away IAS offrs from UP He will be happy with his own offrs. Is he making a separate kingdom.

Below is table of Exit Polls Versus Actual Results in India's
Central Elections from 1996 to 2009.   Up until 2004 there
is close match between them (as in any mature democracy)
but things went really awry 2004 onwards.

What changed in 2004?  Note the table and see at the end.

<indian-elections-predictions-from-1996-to-20091.jpg>

From 'Democracy at Risk' by GVL Narasimha Rao, at http://www.indianevm.com/book_democracy_at_risk_2010.pdf  (page 81)

What changed from 2004 is large scale use of EVM in India's elections.

India's elections are determined by EVMs,  not Voters.  Particularly central.
