Re: [HumJanenge] IC SG Orders CPIO of CIC to file FIR for missing info.

Indeed the appellant Mr. Vijendar Singh, of Meerut is a subscriber of this list. I have copied this reply to him with a request that he could shed some light on this decision.

Your observation that this second appeal was time barred is correct. However, we are also aware that a lot of CPIOs have been saved of the gallows of penalty for delay in providing the information.

You might like to check this decision where the CPIO provided the information to an RTI Application dated 27/06/2011 and received by him on 13/07/2012 only on 29/02/2012. In short, the information was provided nine months late. Further, this information was provided only three days before the date of the hearing of the same IC. Check below :-

So looking on the bright side, the CIC has given the benefit of doubt / delay to an appellant in one decision and that of the respondent on another.
