For the reason that banking details (information) of a depositor are held by the Bank in a FIDUCIARY capapcity (and hence falls under a specific EXEMPTION vide section 8.1 of RTI Act). It is also personal information having no relation with any public activity.

Notwithstanding this, you can always try the "larger public interest" gambit (see sec. 8.2 of RTI Act)
