Sir
Sub: Rejoinder: "Launching satyagraha, Kejriwal restores snapped power "
I refer to the subject story published with the keyword tag "India Against Corruption" on your website at the following URL:.
http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/kejriwal-launches-bijlipaani-satyagraha/article3972022.ece
As the present National Convenor of India Aginst Corruption, I am caused to say that the story filed by your nameless staff reporter is factually incorrect.
It is clear from the article's accompanying photograph that the electricity meter seal is intact and the armoured cable of the DISCOM M/s BSES-RAJDHANI Ltd. going into the meter is also intact. Mr. Arvind Kejriwal is attempting to work on the OUTGOING connectors which shows that the electricity was never disconnected in the first place by the Discom.
I am aggrieved that by such deceitful actions, widely circulated and published by your newspaper, Mr.Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party have been cheating the residents of Delhi and raising vast amounts of funds to support their dissolute lifestyle. I am further aggrieved that Mr Arvind Kejriwal carried out these actions in the name and style of "India Against Corruption" movement to give it a bad reputation at a time when he had already been told to leave the movement and stop indulging in such disreputable antics.
I would request you to show the said article with the accompanying photograph to your newspaper's own engineers, or to any other engineers or electricity experts, to confirm the truth of my allegations.
I am therefore calling upon you to prominently publish my rebuttal, on the internet and also print editions, that Mr. Arvind Kejriwal had cheated the citizens of Delhi by such false claims whereas in fact no supposedly disconnected electricity connection was ever restored by him.
I would like to mention that Aam Aadmi Party has been collecting (against massive unaccounted payments) a large number of representations against payment of electricity bills from poor and illiterate electricity consumers of Delhi on the promise that their electricity bills / dues will be waived off / reduced, due to the impending elections, if donations are made to their party, and bundles of these representations have been sent to the Delhi Government through the O/o Chief Minister GoNCTD to mislead their victims.
I hope that "The Hindu" cares as much about its reputation, honesty and credibilty as the "India Against Corruption" jan andolan does its own
With best wishes
Yours faithfully
Er. Sarbajit Roy.
