Justice Verma report has many impractical suggestions like killing in self defence, charges of rape in disturbed areas against army jawans. Y.P. Singh retired police officer, now an activist and lawyer has pointed out many missing links in the report.
So also the response of the Govt. is lukewarm and they will place before the parliamentary standing committee.
So let us wait and watch but we can certainly debate.
I had found the submissions made by S. Roy to the Commission quite comprehensive and appropriate. I take it that those reflected the views of the members of this forum.

Media says Justice Verma Committee has recommended give the girls right to kill rapists in self defence. is it paractical? How does she kill. Are you going going to give every girl a weapon? What if she is attacked by six men, as in this case?
