Re: [IAC#RG] Sex on wheels

I agree. Air-lifting was criticised many eminent doctors in Hyderabad too. Actually that increased the risk for such an unstable patient, possibly hastening her departure., is what they said.

Then to make her faceless, is intriguing too. I am more and more concerned that truly intellectuals of our country are becoming useful idiots, as defined by Krugman. No one really wants to expose the powerful secret of govt- the well nourished and hidden mechanism of secretly interpreting public policy for private benefit.

It beats me why we are acting so stupid as not to demand that government cannot have this right under any provision of our constitution as Republic of India, and was followed by colonial masters. A simple looking step. looks too unrelated to any crisis we face, like mega scam or horrendous rape or suicide of innocents facing harassment of authorities. Even we are prepared to lay down lives for bits of information under RTI Act!! That is truly limit of stupidity. We call them martyrs too and some try to become leaders on that account. Putrid!

Our fundamental right as citizens of republic that all proceedings of govt dealing with public policy for public good , must be public, through scan and web post process along with the order, we do not want to demand , not even discuss. The connection is not understood. Surprising.

This mechanism of private interpretation of public policy is what keeps corrupt to flock to government. They thus abuse power for money. They corrupt law and order. SO not even one or two convictions take place out of more than 600 rape cases registered in Delhi. When do we get ashamed of ourselves?

When will our intellectuals stop nit picking among themselves and waste hours of TV time and pages of press, extolling their own stronger laws and more cops etc. When why have we become such hypocrites? Can't we see what attracts corrupt to government? Take action to remove this privilege. demand in one voice organise informed debate, to understand how this not publishing proceedings with orders caused Adarsh, 2G, CWG scams and how Police are so fered now by innocents to approach for justice.

The moment we make this executive action forced on the govt. mind you, it is executive action, not any law. corruption gets PREVENTED. Mind you prevented. Not deterrence. It is stopped literally in tracks from yielding any benefit. The full facts publicly available makes informed media debate possible, civil groups to take meaningful action without need to crawl and beg for information from govt. and aggrieved to seek immediate legal reddresal too!  Corrupt will find government power useless to make money. WHat they do? They will no more invest in elections to make it a business of making money out of power. Elections get cleansed.

Then only those interested in public service will come to government. Corrupt should find government useless to make money. Why we cannot pause and think over this approach to change our lives?

Pray stop being evasive and escapist. The current anguish of youth should lead to a new awakening among the intellectuals. They are out there crying for justice.

We will be doing the greatest disservice if we still indulge in the same age old practice of some tears, more words of condolences, some compensations, promise of stronger laws with no intention of even implementing current ones.

Enough is enough. Be honest to yourself, please.

Hi... dont understand why you wanted her airlifted out of india when she was already sinking or probably brain dead already?
Am a little confused.
Also understand that her family wnats to talk, so why should she remain faceless and nameless, if the family is ready to go public. Like keenan santos she should be a known symbol of
courage and revolution - if her family is okay with it. I hear that her family is being pressured by the government to keep quiet.

I dont understand why her funeral had to be hush-hush and quiet -- why not a hero's funeral for her?
Would like to hear from you.

Dear Dr. Rajasekaran Sir,

Our mailing list(s) is already being closely watched / tracked in the
corridors of power. But more than that, what is disclosed on this list
is (like an iceberg) only 10% of what is going on in the background.

for instance 2 minor things we (our IAC team) did,
1) We got the Lt.Gov of Delhi summoned back from his foreign holiday
2) We ensured the victim was airlifted out of the country when she was
virtually dead for all purposes.

Trust me sir, we are not taking credit for anything. We neither seek
or need publicity.

In a day or two, the Charter of IAC will be circulated to our
subscribers. It will clearly specify what our focus is, it may also
not suit many people on this list. Till now the IAC never had a
Charter or a vision - it was all ad-hoc and highly irregular. Too many
people were saying different things on behalf of IAC - there was no
commonality of purpose and it was all media oriented froth/hype which
raised great expectations in the citizens and failed to deliver. .

The apolitical IAC now has a longer event horizon than the previous
team. The first step of course is to bring "like minded" people
together - we are doing that. All we ask is your blessings and the
blessings of your membership. With good dedicated qualified
intelligent professional people working as a group the outcome can
only be positive if we can all somehow work together.

With best wishes
