Hi Mandar
My 2 cents

a) Its debatable if  IAC is a respectable movement at the present time. IMHO its been a thoroughly personalised movement so far - running at the whims and fancies of a few people for their selfish ends.

b) "We" (and I'll clarify who we is in my next post) feel that IAC ought to be a democractic decentralised collective outfit/platform of networked individuals (or similar non-organised groupings of individuals) to provide empowerment tools to implement open-ness / transparency in all aspects of public life in India and to thereby lessen/reduce corruption in India. (This is admittedly a little "raw" and needs a collective brushup or trouting). This mailing list is only one component of that package.

c) I personally concur that IAC cannot have an official position on anything other than transparency/corruption. I was chanelling some queries from list members (given offlist) on whether IAC takes positions (Anna Hazare has been taking positions on lots of things in IAC's name) and if so what IAC's position is on, say, FDI. However, the ultimate call on these matters vests in our members.

Thanks again

Sarbajit

Sukhdev or Bhagat singh did not have a country to run.  They did not have any responsibilities of governing.

A respectable movement or a political party should not advocate such positions.

Regarding "selling our country" ... that is corruption... And it is wrong.
Corruption is independent of whether it is a domestic or a foreign company.

IAC should not be in the business of having policy positions on specific issues like this.
We can and do have a strong position about lack of transparency or corruption surrounding it.
