Dear MB Qasmi,
Well written.
Marginalization of one set of people or the other is an ages old trick employed by crafty rulers, to which sections of the public easily falls prey for short term perceived advantages. Any movement that aims to bring about a just and functional governance must be based on equality for all citizens irrespective of religion, cast, color or creed. However, Governance must not allow the weight of majority to exploit the minority - too idealistic? Do we have a choice? We already know the result of lessor downward spiraling ideals.
Best Regards,
Virender
What kind of Muslim appeasement Mr. Tapan Ghosh is speaking about? It is the 'appeasement' Mr. Ghosh which put Muslim on the lowest of development ranking in India in last 65 years, even below SC and ST. It is the people with divisive mindsets that attribute crimes, fundamentalism, extremism and even terrorism to certain community, caste and religion according to their liking and disliking. Attributing a crime like rape to Biharis was the last example non-sense politics in our country.
Right wing Hindutvadis are not at all representatives of Indian Hindus similarly fundamentalist Muslims are not whole Muslim community or Islam.
Muslim are ill-developed and in certain cases discriminated with in India is a fact and that must be dealt with rationally by all majority and minority communities.
Any political party or say new political party like AAP can find some space in Indian political system only if it is inclusive in letter and spirit. Else there are enough parties like Shiv Sena, MNS and MIM which are exclusively enjoying politics but spoiling Indian bonds as united strong nation.
Of course corruption is the single spoiler in India but it is certainly not politicians monopoly. We all are from top to bottom corrupt—from our individual family life to public life, as a businessman, social worker, Govt. employee and politicians.
Nevertheless, we need to work out this and we need to start from the very basic. I real fight against corruption is a must but that should be launched again exclusively.
Thanks
MB Qasmi

Yes. System failure creates massive corruption. At the same time it creates massive Muslim appeasement in the states like Andhra and West Bengal. Are you ready to acknowledge it?
Your fight against corruption is praiseworthy. But at the same time are you ready to take on the Islamic fundamentalist and divisive forces which takes inspiration and material support from religious scripture and foreign countries. Will this not again vivisect our country?
Waiting for your reply.
You may differ with me. But your silence on this matter will only prove your dishonesty and other design. I have extreme hope in IAC and Kejriwal. Hence waiting for your response.

You are absolutely correct. It is a different question. No amount of tweaking the law or new laws will help.
It is a system failure that has allowed massive corruption to flourish, that has allowed the politicians to rule the country as their fiefdom, that has allowed the administrators to loot and allowed the police the convenience of the perpetuator. It is this system that needs to exorcised. And if we cling to our subservient all excepting attitude, then even flight to the Himalayas will be futile.

We already have Law against Rape, Gang Rape, Murder etc. We also have death penalty, for the "Rarest of Rare Case". As the case under discussion is a "Rarest of Rare Case", of a gang rape, then the court can give the punishment accordingly.
We already have laws for almost everything, under the sun, even for molestation, etc. So what is the need to amend a law? Let the existing law do its work and punish the guilty.
If someone doesn't have faith in our judicial system then it's a different question altogether. But then what is the fun in amending the existing law, where one doesn't have any faith in the system.
