Dear Sir,
The problem is that there is no Privacy law in India.
The Govt. at the highest level have reiterated this fact at least on two occassions-
1. In case of Neera radia tapes, Rattan Tata had invoked this and his appeal is still lying in the SC.
2. In AADHAR scheme, the Govt. brushed aside the objections on personal security data on the same ground that there is no law on Privacy.
Your personal and financial data including Pan that you disclose to banks or mobile Cos. is freely marketted without your knowledge and permission.
Human Rights under UN conventions and International laws are still a grey area. They are not systemtically being incorporated in domestic laws.So they remain optional for courts to follow
Morality finds no space in our secular laws.

The tragedy is that decent moral people who raise such issues in the
shrinking public space are immediately branded as Pakistani spies or
paid Congress agents by the Goebellsian internet jokers.
