Dear Amjad
Rabidranath's views on VM and AM can be gleaned from here (preface / introduction)
PDF of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee novel Anandamath in English
It is frankly not the best of translations, but it does convey some of the 'jatra' style of "over the top" melodrama which had Bengalis waiting eagerly for every episode of its serialisation in 1875.
Rabindranath's letter to Subhash Bose is surely contained in the anthology of his letters published by Krishna Dutt. Parts of the anthology had been digitised by google books.,

Sarabjit,Thank you for a very well written post. Will it be possible for you to also tell our group what were Rabindra Nath Tagore's thoughts on the subject were ?Could you also re-produce the Tagore-Subhash Chandra Bose correspondence on the subject even at the relevant time ?I could do it but mine would be a cut and paste job for lack of time whereas you would put it more lucidly.Thank you.Jai Hind.Amjad Afridi
