Re: [IAC++] PRESS RELEASE: Anna Hazare booed/expelled by IAC workers in Bhubhaneshwar

Friends, Under the Cyber Act, any person publishing any matter that have the adverse effect described therein or practically or notionally having such effect or likely to be disciplined by a  severe punishment.  Please remember the case of two girls of Maharashtra, who advertantly or inadvertantly published in the face book their opinions.   It is worth for all of us to confine oursleves to truth and honesty, as well avoid hearsay or  such publication that may lead to  proceedings under the Indian Penal Code.   The laws and the Policy of the Country and constitution is to enable honest, corrupt free governance.   For a long time the corrupt has had their ways.  Now there is awareness and attempts by persons triying to usher in good governance.    Anybody can do this. Everybody has under Art 51A of the constitution has a duty in this regard. Whoever is attempting to wash dirty linens in public about anybody, of their pasts, will be labelled as opponents of attempt to usher in corruption free governance.   It does not mean that whoever is at the helm of affairs at the present time in whatever sphere, are proved that they are honest or otherwise.   If anybody has any material to prove a corrupt practice of anybody else, would also be abetting and enabling corruption if they have not utilised the Law at the appropriate time.  It is easy to find out who has originated every mail.   The amrs of Law are LONG  but slow.  Nobody will be spared.   Do your bit to do good to the country (which means public at large).  If you are incapable of this  do not indulge in moral policing and arm twisting methods.  If you do have any proof go to the nearest Police.  They will help you. We need to support whoever is putting effort for honesty and corrupt free governance.   If they are proved otherwise, they will also face the same music. This is a public domain and not a private backyard. Let us not indulge in coward activities  please but uphold the integrity and national honour.  It is a shame that our country is being spoken about as one of the most corrupt nations.   dwarakanathdm

The latest news is as follows:

About 20 persons from both sides were taken into preventive custody. The matter has been compromised and everyone is let off. Most of the money (about Rs. 12 lakhs after "expenses") has been returned, and Anna Hazare and party are leaving B'bsr very soon.

IAC-HQ's fact finding team is reaching tomorrow afternoon.

Hi Ajay,

I am Vidyut, the blogger of aamjanata.com

I will blog this story - let's break the media silence. Lot of journalists follow me, as well as I have been able to break media silence on several things in the past. Worth a shot.

Can you give me the names of the local leaders there, so that whoever wants to verify independently can do so? Since this is sort of grassroots news from one of the parties involved in the situaiton, will be useful for people to have a mechanism to verify if they wish.

CCing Sarbajit in this email. He knows me somewhat - though only recently and online. He can vouch I'm not gaming you.  Babubhai Vaghela and Krishnaraj Rao also know me - you probably know them - providing references, because I understand it is a difficult time, and it may be tough knowing who to trust.

Dear Mr Raghuvanshi

Kindly moderate your language. This is the national channel of India Against Corruption.

The brief facts as known to us at IAC-HQ are as follows.

1. Mr K.B. (Anna) Hazare has been staying at the State Guest of Orissa enjoying Mr. Naveen Patnaik's very lavish hospitality for himself and about 20 of his supporters from Maharashtra for past 3 days.

2. Mr Naveen Patnaik has called Anna to Orissa to extol the virtue of the State Govt policy to sell its resources to a few private companies including foreigners.

3. At a meeting yesterday, violent fights broke out on stage between various factions of IAC local unit activists, BJD party workers and some people describing themselves as Anna India Against Corruption.

4. Yesterday night Anna's people offered a huge bribe of Rs. 2 crores to IAC local leaders to switch over /defect to them.

5. Local IAC leaders are very principled and suggested that Anna should address a meeting today at 1.pm at Bhubhaneshwar to see mood of the public.

6. At today's meeting, Anna's team again offered the huge bribe before meeting started. Violent fights broke out and Anna and party ran away.

7. These facts should be in media by niw. But Patnaik's party managers would have twisted the facts by now as whole media starting from Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi are in his pocket..
