If some body is not agreeing even for audio recordings, it means that he is not honest and wants to hide his intentions fm the public. He will say something else in the public and will plead differently at the meeting.

rioens, It is the people who have elected the Parlimentarians, it is the people who have given the constitution, It is the people who are the object of the Laws, It is the people who have to know what law is made by their delegates. The parliament or the standing committees do not want to report to the People, every step of the decision making with the details of who is far and their reasons and who is against and their reasons, it only means dishonesty to the eletorate and it would be prudent for the citizens and peoples to note down such persons and do what they think is right during the ensuring elections. It is also prudent for the people to cast negative votes in respect of persons whom they do want and once negative votes are in majority than positive votes the Representation of People Act must be amended to mean the negative majority vote as rejection of canidadates equivalnt to the term fo 6 six years. dwarakanthdm On Thu, Sep 8, 2011 at 4:35 PM, M K Singhal <mk.singhal@yahoo.co.in> wrote: Dear All, In the interest of transparency and accountbility, govt had decided to telecast proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and started even seperate TV channels for the purpose. Standing Committees formed by Parliament are said to be mini parliaments to review in details the various bills referred to them before being passed by the parliament. Their proceedings are therefore as important for the people as the proceedings of the parliament itself. I do not know why are the proceedings of Standing Committees not being televised.
I suggest that people's pressure should be built up on the govt to start televising the proceedings of all Standing Committees to enable us, the people, to know the views of the various members/parties on various bills being considered by them.
The proceedings of the Standing Committee currently considering Jan Lokpal Bill must start being televised immediately. Your reactions and appropriate action at your end is requested.
