I requested a copy of the legal advice given to the Information Commissioner from the Shri G. Subramanian, CPIO denied the information citing section 18(1) (e) (Fiduciary Relationship) and Section 8(1) (j) (no relationship to any public activity or would cause unwarranted invasion of the privacy of the individual). The issue is of immense importance. My first appeal against the above decision is listed for hearing on In the first appeal, I have made following points: 1. That Section 18 (1)(e) states that it is the duty of the Information Commission to receive and inquire into a complaint from any person who believes that he has been given incomplete, misleading or false information under the 2.
