Unfortunately, all these RTI activists are arguing from the wrong side
of the table and making fools of themselves.
The procedure for "selection" is that the PM, a Union Minister
(selected by the PM) and the leader of the Opposition recommend a name
(or names) for appointment from persons eminent in the various fields
specified. If the query was better rephrased as "procedure for
appointment" (instead of selection) it would be seen that there IS a
"procedure" and there are "criteria".
If this procedure is to be challenged / assailed, it should be in a
fit case and on a proper cause of action by somebody competent to do
so.
