Re: [HumJanenge] Proposed change in RTI Act

Yes, we all know about this by now. This is contained in the DoPT's comments to some half baked comments which Ms Aruna Roy and her gang of incompetent foreign financed sarkari stooges sent from the NAC.

This is a welcome development. The members of this group have supported this overwhelmingly and over 250 HJ members had sent emails to DoPT supporting the proposal to limit word count to 250 words etc. In fact we had demanded that it be reduced to 150 words after citing the legal basis.

Dear Members,

I came to know that the Ministry of Personnel & Training, GoI, which oversees the implementation of RTI Act is proposing a change in the format of RTI Application. As per information, the application should only be given in 250 words excluding addresses of PIO and Applicant. If there is more words than 250, the first 250 words would be considered by the PIO for reply.

This is for information and discussion.

Thanks & Regards
