Dear Supratim
A) I did not "cut" our interaction, I suggested we take it to an
alternate venue (which is considerably more "unmoderated").
B) We would prefer that all complex / ideological discussions be taken
to the forum.
C) On how I/we DEFINE socialism, please understand that a "definition"
of socialism is NOT a "key issue" for us (may be it is for you). We
are NOT theoretical people defining some great eschatological event.
We spit on World Bank proxy economists who DEFINE that poverty is Rs.
816 per month or Rs. 5,000 per month etc. with full meals available at
Rs. 5 in Delhi.
D) If you want a working "defn" of socialism, I suppose the Wikipedia
one is as good as any "Socialism is a social and economic system
characterised by social ownership of the means of production and
co-operative management of the economy". IAC also recommends that all
core industries (incl. education and health) should be "nationalised".
