Dear Sir, Who to pay for Lokayukta and Lokpal should not be a question at all. All so called public servents are paid from Govt Treasury and this treasury is filled by taxes paid by Public, so operating cost born by state or Centre is all from public. Only question could be , how to recover looted and enmassed sums from these public servents? Regards Pramod R. Sahasrabuddhe

Dear All,
We are well aware of the high level political corruptions irrespective of the Political Parties at the helms of affair. They have indulged in open public loot and become rich.
To probe the high level political corruptions, some States have Lokayukta Act and posted Lokayuktas also.
The question is who should bear the operating cost of these Lokayuktas?
We the People - the Victims of Political / Bureaucratic Corruption - be made to bear the cost of operating these Lokayuktas &, in the event of Lokpal become reality, operating Lokpal?
Or, the cost of operating the Lokayuktas &, under enactment Lokpal, be recovered from the corrupt people who siphoned off the public money by confiscating their ill-gotten money & property?
