Subject: [HumJanenge] Another illogical decision from CIC

Dear Friends,

We had asked to CIC:

(a)    " Kindly provide information on writ petitions filed against decision of Central Information Commission since 2011 in which Central Information Commission is made respondent. Kindly also provide information with file notings on action taken on such writ petitions"
Anita Gupta did not bother to hear this point during hearing..
Similar issues were adjudicated by Shailesh Gandhi(reproduced below).
a.  Copies of all petitions/affidavits pertaining to the decisions of your Information Commission on
RTI appeal/complaints or any other RTI related matter filed in any High Court/Supreme Court.
b. Copies of all replies, affidavits, documents and records submitted by your information
Commission to the High Court/Supreme Court in connection with any of the above cases.
c. Copies, with file noting, if CIC has decided not to contest any case(s) filed by a public authority.
d. The basis of selection of legal professionals to represent CIC in above cases, list of legal
professionals selected, and remuneration including contingencies paid to them.
e. The information may be provided on DVD considering the policy of CIC to digitize all documents
Shailesh Gandhi has directed the information to be given..which is yet to be given(There is twist in tale in this decision also)
She feels that the facts of the two cases are different. I fail to understand how this is different. She has quoted another case and the information asked is exactly same in that case too.
have attached both the decisions..   So the story of illogic continues at CIC...
