operation, that too after lot of running around. Main issue is
availability of medicines, specially those of not common type.examples
are Modafinal/ Mdealert. 2x bds costs Rs.30 per day and in most cases
its is to be taken life long for elderly people. Many others of even
common use for elderly people, which majority of ECHS dependent will
be, like Urimax D will not be available for quite some time. The woos
are many if a census is taken. A typical bureaucratic approach, for
medicines most ECHS clinics depend upon the dependent MH, which has
its own problems in procurement, all resulting in long delays. Ex
servicemen coming from distant places for check up and the medicines
face great problem.
The relentless efforts of the ECHS Cell have started bring in many
benefits like;all India applicability of ECHS card, 2months
medicine-It will be good for the Veterans if some one can bell the
cat.
