I sincerely thank you for sharing your views on my comments. As a longterm member of this forum I hope that you will continue this dialogue between 2 scholars each expert in their own faiths and thus knowledgeable about other faiths and beliefs.

1) I disagree with you that India is a third rate country. I say that there is no country in the world which is so open, tolerant and diverse as India is, and we must each do our best to preserve this status against communalist forces.

2)  FYI, I, a kattar Hindu, am a strcit monotheist believing only in 1 formless infinite God and do not worship idols or pray at temples. I have no difficulty in saying that there is only 1 God and that Muhammed (PBUH) is "a" messenger of my God also. Unlike devout Muslims who pray 5 times a day, at least, I am always praying to God.

3) However, the practices and formalities of each religion may be adapted to suit its adherents and local conditions wherever/whenever God's message is delivered by his chosen messengers.

So I don't see why my post to this group is so offensive to you or why I should be ashamed for it.
