[IAC#RG] PUBLIC NOTICE: ANNA HAZARE anshan at Ram Lila Maidan

Be it known as follows:-

That Shri Anna Hazare is not a member of INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION and has never been a member of INDIA AGAINST CORUPTION.

That we are informed that Shri Anna Hazare's anshan at RamLila Maidan, New Delhi (Distt. Central, PS Kamala Market) beginning today is organised by his trust styled as "Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan Nyas" (BVJAN) and the permissions have been taken in such name.

That INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION is not associated with Shri Anna Hazare's anshan in any way and neither supports it nor opposes it, except to the extent that INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION is opposed to Lokpal / Ombudsman Act and denounces it as a device imposed by foreign imperialists.

That INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION is informed that Anna Hazare and other office bearers of "Bhrashtachar Virodhi Jan Andolan Nyas" (BVJAN) had been suspended by the Charity Commissioner, Pune (Maharashtra) for various illegalities and the trust had thereafter proceeded under administrators and stay orders of court. The BVJAN website also does not disclose their audited accounts after about 2010 to the public, and a complaint for Shri Anna Hazare's various trust accounts was pending in Supreme Court of India.

The INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION does not collect money or donations from anybody. However, it has come to our knowledge that Shri Anna Hazare had floated very many front / dummy organisations to raise huge amounts of money from the public, mostly still unaccounted for, through a device of membership affidavit and annual subscriptions etc.. These fronts bore names llike  "Jan Tantra Morcha" and "IAC Volunteers Association" etc. and were notorious for deceitfully misusing the National Flag (in violation of Flag Code of India) to induce innocent people to part with their money (ie. offence of cheating).

The INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION is not responsible for any cheating carried out by these aforesaid persons / bodies or others like them. It is reiterated that INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION does not accept or solicit donations, and that Shri Anna Hazare has nothing to do with INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION or vice versa.
