INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION strongly protests the discrimination shown by OLA Cabs to our veteran member Comrade Rajendra Dalvi ji. We are given to understand that OLA Cabs implements the MORTH prescribed "zero discrimination" policy which requires "immediate suspension" of the driver/s in such cases when formal complaint is made by your passenger. Mr. Dalvi has made such complaint of discriminatiuon to you, however, OLA Cabs did not suspend the driver  and thereby encouraged another driver from the same community to also cancel Mr. Dalvi's confirmed rides. It is noteworthy that both taxi cabs which refused to carry Mr. Dalvi were actually owned by M/s OLA Cabs itself and both drivers have been "imported".into NCR by OLA to drive these company cabs. OLA Cabs has failed to reply to Mr. Dalvi concerning these outrageous discriminations practised upon him.

We are also given to understand that M/s OLA Cabs has failed to register themselves under section 93 of Motor Vehicles Act as advised by Central Government and is functioing illegally / surreptitiously in NCT Delhi by using HR55 vehicles.in Delhi without precalibrated STA meters under garb of All India Tourist Permits.

Accordingly I have asked the Transport Commissioner of Delhi (Ms. Varsha Joshi, IAS) to clarify if OLA and UBER are registered u/s 93 MV Act with GNCTD. The copy of which may be accessed at

It is pertinent to inform you that INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION is concerned that M/s OLA cabs had apparently amassed huge cash surplus of about Rs. 3,600 crores in the Bank (till 2016) including by grossly overcharging ("cheating") the innocent riders like Dalviji. We also believe that State Government authorities in Delhi (Aam Aadmi Party) and Haryana (BJP) are hand in glove with OLA to allow you to function in this way and overlook your mischiefs

FTI, The Delhi Govt. has notified the rate as Rs. 5 per km for such taxi cabs (the copy of which is with us). The Central Motor Vehicle Rules (section 85 if I recall correctly) does not allow AITP cabs to be used as taxis within another state (not being the home state) or as a stage carriage. Such vehicle can be impounded and the permit cancelled. It is also a serious safety issue in case of an accident. A Delhi resident needs reassurance that the taxi vehicle OLA cabs sends him is available in case of an accident or MACT claim and driver.owner can be apprehended. Such flagrant abuse of laws is not possible without complicity of State Transport Dept. and gross corruption there and this is probably one of the reasons why Delhi Transport Minister Satyendra Jain was removed recently. Earlier the Transport Minister Gopal Rai was also relieved of this post, also because of his role in Shuttle Bus scam. It seems Aam Aadmi Party has no honest people left in it.
