Re: [IAC#RG] Demonetisation

Dear friends,

We have a very different views about PM and his policies, but do not forget that HE is elected by the people of india. I see many people hate him despite his good work.  They are so scared and disinterested of anything he did. I hope the same people may have experience of Emergency, riots and immense corruption.

2 and half yr and no scam of that anyone have any proof. Transparency in coal auction and other services. Corruption has come down effectively. Many people got bank account opened with zero balance first time in their entire life.

always beating the bush about he told after coming to power PM will give 15 lakh each.... Any sane person would understand that it was not an election promise and just an example if all the money could brought back. However, the efforts of government is transparent for black money and the irony that 210 million rupees has been deposited in Jan Dhan account, isn't his jumla getting real.

For those people who seen crying and cribbing on TV and social sites describing public pain so much.
I can feel the cry for their money which turned in paper overnight.

If the people of this country do not want this drive to be happen, the whole country would have burnt. So my dear friends who have their heart burn instead, keep pushing hard and keep trying your luck. This move is not gonna roll back.

I am not a Bhakt but i appreciate the good deeds of any individual.

Dear Friends,

I have read the views of Mr. Holly2 Plus and Mr. Srabjit Roy, but I am sorry to say that I beg to differ with them. My views are as follows:

We have been fighting with Pak sponsored terrorism and naxalite menace for far too long. The country has been practically bleeding on that account. Despite a Rs.2000 note recovered from the body of a terrorist, which is yet to be fully investigated, I have no doubt that demonetisation has broken the back of both Pakistan (ISI) and the naxalites. This one benefit itself is, in my opinion, sufficient to justify the step.

As regards black money also, the big fish have suffered a jolt, may be temporary. But it will require them a few years to build the stock again. So, it will have some salutary effect on them and others,  which is a benefit for the nation.

There may be a some reduction in corruption also, since some people who have been enjoying the fruits of corruption so far may simply lose heart after their carefully stacked notes lost their value overnight. This effect may be temporary, but that is also a benefit to the society.

I fully agree that the step has resulted in serious hardship for the people due to sudden shortage of currency. This has particularly affected those who belong to the lower strata of society. I fully sympathise with them and would request the Government to find ways and means to reduce their pain. But to say that the step should be taken back is wrong. For a moment, think in a reverse way as follows:

                                    (1) was it possible to make the step effective without maintaining utmost secrecy? The answer is a clear 'No'.
                                    (2) was it possible to maintain secrecy if too much of new currency would have been printed in advance? The answer is a                                               clear 'No'.

Once we have the clear answers to the above questions, it emerges that there was no other way this step could have been taken. So, it does not make sense to criticise the Government on this issue. One has the liberty to hold the view that the step itself was unnecessary and the country could have continued to survive the way it has survived so far. But if one holds the view that it was high time for such a step, then there is no point in saying that some more preparation was required. I am sure that any further preparation would have compromised secrecy.

I think that we should go through this pain just like to get a baby, labour pains are essential. At the same time I would urge upon the Government do everything in its power to minimise the inconvenience being suffered by the people.

With regards to all,

Jai Hind!

Dear Doctor,
I don't understand why I am unable to put forth my point of view to you all. We are against corruption. Corruption doesn't mean only of a pecuniary nature. If a democratically elected P.M. becomes a dictator, that is corruption. If a democratically elected government makes a unilateral decision, it is corruption. ' Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely ' In India, everything becomes politics, and everything in politics is dirty. Demonetisation is done for the interests of the poor, downtrodden, farmers and have nots. Do you observe that none of them are tax - payers and hence tax evaders?
The same people Modiji professes to protect are suffering the most today. I have already explained that demonetisation has no effect on black money, terror money or counterfeit money. Prof has come in the form of two numbers 2000 rupee notes with the slain terrorists. A fake currency factory is already unearthed.
All small currency dealers like bus conductors and bar cashiers are depositing daily collections in serialised 500s and 1000s. A person who knows to make black money knows how to safeguard it too. The mother of all these minor vices, corruption goes on smoothly, undisturbed, unabated. If Modiji is serious about eradicating corruption, he can visit any office in North Block or the coffers of any political party, including his own.
He did not check the notes making capacity of his press before sucking out 85% of the currencies. Monies in the banks are white , tax paid , hard earned. What right has the ration me my own money? The very people he professes to to protect are hit hard by the currency crunch, unable to find out from where his next roti will come, if at all. That is why I pleaded with you support him in his hour of crisis. Modiji will not understand his plight. Now he comes up with a pseudo survey that ,90% of the Indians are with him. He will also claim that people are singing in ATM queues, after listening to their moaning after a lathi charge. Did you say that we should support Modiji? No. He doesn't need our support. He is in a far far higher plane where you and I can not dream of reaching. Regards.

Dear friends
I think we all should support the govt on demonetisation. We have to be positive , every action has a adverse reaction

Dear all,

My humble request to you please support the government till the mess is over.

Now the ban has come to full effect, we can criticise the process of execution but the need of time to support it. You all can be agree with me on this at least now this ban can not be rolled back.

I am also suffering as each one of you for cash crunch.

You all will have plenty of time to abuse the PM later on.

At least trust the hope of common citizens. What do you have to lose??
PM is not taking away the money. Its just lying in our accounts.

There could be disagreement for the execution part but no one can point finger at the intention.

Which government want to invite  the public ire upon himself? Perhaps our PM does not want their vote for second term!!!
I think for disinterested people this logic could be more logical.

We all get burnt of politcs, corruption and all lies over and over again. But please remember hopes are not crushed yet. Till then be positive.

Thanks to all

It is rather painful to sent intellectuals falling prey to professional political propaganda. If you are hard BJP cadre or sympathiser there is no issue. No amount of logic can convince you. I must mention here that BJP is apack of lies. Congress is no better. Please, please don't look at this politically. The objectives of demonetisation as claimed is as follows:
1. To eradicate graft ( corruption )
2. To bring out black money.
3. To counter terror funding
4. To counter drug money and
5. To nullify counterfeit currency.
To intention is lofty, laudable and succinct. But, what is reality? The money amassed as cash has become worthless. As gold and other forms remain. That too, old notes are converted into new and stashed. At 30% commission, new notes are available for old. We havyoue paved way for another source for black money. NO action on the corrupt; he didn't have a change of heart; he continues to take bribes; this time with 2000 rupee notes instead of the normal 1000 rupee notes! Check in any government office or RTO.
All who have had black money have converted it into White through as many means they had at their disposal. I can not enumerate all of them here. If you take village wise collection, you will be astonished.
Terror and drugs are international subjects. They do not deal in mundane Indian rupees.
By your action you have withdrawn 85% of the money from the economy. Middle and poor class are suffering. You have destroyed two tenets of modern society.
i ) Money in the bank is my own; I can draw it anytime and do whatever I want with it.
ii ) ATM is a machine where I can draw my money at any time.
How disgraceful! The deposits you claim to have collected are not black money, drug money or graft money. It is the poor man's savings. All White and legal. What rights you have to restrict my marriage expenses to 2.5 lakhs while witnessing a 500 crore wedding? Has BJP submitted its election expenses? I am not a congressman. I will never ever be. Watch what U.P. and others are going to verdict now.
By this stupid action, we have got into one more quagmire. No ATM can handle 100s,500s,1000s and 2000s notes at the same tlme. Regards

It is common knowledge that there is no single mechanism to handle corruption anywhere in the world. Demonetisations help for a while and thus has a useful role.
Few snags in implementation in a huge population and economy need not make us furious.
Government is serious and needs support of the people.

Does it mean that   we should not adopt any measures to curb black and counterfeit money!!? Ok, the two earlier attempts, by people of different intelect  have not been successful and we do not know the extent of impact they had as the media was not advanced as it is today! Now let us see how we can support and fine tune the situation, having plunged into it, not possible to enquire with 1.3 billion about what could be the possible implications! Let us all prop up and support the government without praying and wishing for the failure of the government as it will be the failure of all of us!! At least this will help us learn how we could deal with the next time, should there be pile up of the evil of illegal mopney!!

Demonetisation is perhaps the most stupid decision taken by the government. We have our reasons.
1. Two earlier demonetisations in 1946 & 1978 has not produced the desired results.
2. There is NO hard and fast rule that terrorism must be financed by local currency only.
3. It can not stop corruption as claimed. A corrupt official will continue to be corrupt no matter what the denomination is. Now they will demand more justifying the ' loss ' he has suffered in the move by Modiji.
4. For black money holders this is only a temporary set back. After all he didn't earn it with his sweat and blood. Black money is an outcome of a man's dishonesty. You can not curb it with cancellation of his black capital.
5. There is no incentive for being honest in India. Corrupt and dishonest amass wealth and power to rule over the honest and straight forward.
6. They should have arranged for alternative currency before declaring. For the last one week, banks were prevented from operating normally. ATMs work only partially before ' cash out '
7. How can the banks restrict me from drawing my own money purely owing to their folly?
8.Is it right to freeze 14.5 lakh crores to flush out 400 crores of counterfeit notes.
9. Check the price of gold, exchange rate of U.S. dollars. They are the real indicaters of prosperity.
10. Above all, the rulers know they have commitment a blunder; but do not have the humility to admit it.
Mark my words: nothing is going to change in 50 days. If at all, it will become much worse. Modiji can achieve nothing with the corrupt beaurocrats and politicians around him.

I consider it unfortunate that an excellent scheme of the PM is criticised on flimsy grounds.
The scheme has halted progress of fake money and activities of terrorism and that by itself is a good achievement.

I openly go against the language used by IAC member on our prime minister ...

IAC's suggestion for Mr. Modi is as follows - FIRST PUT Rs. 15 ;lakhs into BANK ACCOUNT of every Indian, and then do whatever the f**k you want to do.

let me remind you people that government or BJP had never said that it will put 15 lAKHS ON EVERY account it was congress which had come out saying so ....please provide one video where Mr.modi has said that every account will have 15 lakhs .....

Shame on IAC ......its not india against corruption anymore ....its I am congress ......unsubscribe immediately or remove sarabjit roy from IAC

We don't think that this is the time to focus on petty corruption or vague sectoral targeting when there are about 600 names constituting 80% of India's corruption in public domain

IAC has always believed that it is more important that investigative resources be focussed on big fish rather than dissipated over small fry.

It is self-evident that this latest demonetiiztion scam  is well planned by BJP to

a) Influence outcomes of elections in UP and Punjab

b) to distract from rampant corruption in BJP Govt at Centre and mega deals involving personal cronies of Mr. Modi

c) to subjugate the common people by showing them their true place in the scheme of things.

d) make massive money from OHD note replacement.

e) distract from Panama papers and other Wiki-leaked documents.

It is really funny to see all the spin doctors and apologists for Mr. Modi justifying why new notes ought not be pumped into the system and common man should be prepared to suffer in national interest while Mr. Modi is busy enjoying his (vegetarian) sushi in Japan.

IAC's suggestion for Mr. Modi is as follows - FIRST PUT Rs. 15 ;lakhs into BANK ACCOUNT of every Indian, and then do whatever the f**k you want to do.
