To:
Shri Arvind Kejriwal
Chief Minister, UT of NCT Delhi
Dear Arvind,
I was surprised to read the interview titled "I pity those people who
think infrastructure is just flyovers" of Manish (Sisodia) in today's
Hindustan Times at page 4 where he is quoted as follows:
"Q: You have been filling in for the chief minister when he is away.
He would be away regularly due to the Punjab campaign. Am I speaking
to the soon-to-be CM of Delhi ?
A: You are speaking to the deputy CM of Delhi. And the chief minister
has put me on the job. ..."
Since I am unable to correlate the statement to the legal framework,
could you please clarify the status of post / office of Deputy Chief
Minister for a Union Territory like Delhi.
In this connection please see the Table of Precedence published by MHA.

To summarise,
For States: The Governor is at No. 4, the Chief Minister at No. 7
and the Deputy Chief Minister at No. 10.
For Union Territory of Delhi, The Lieut Governor is at No. 11, The
Chief Minister at No. 15 and there is no entry for Deputy Chief
Minister of UTs. The Ministers of UTs are at No. 18.
Accordingly, I would be obliged if you would kindly loo\k into this
matter personally and expeditiously to clarify our doubts, and take
any action required against self-styled Deputies.
Warmly
