Re: [IAC#RG] A simple question

Anil,
Under the British rule there was better governanance in terms of law &
order. But elsewhere the situation was abysmal, to say the least. So
the idea that 'we were better under British rule` is not acceptable.
True, many of our politicians are dishonest & myopic, but the Indian
political system is so firmly embedded in democratic principles and
values, it will survive the onslaught. Look at the conditions of our
neighbouring countries. Democracy has taken backseat. Our political
system is far better than theirs. So, let all of us move a single
brick towards betterment, let us do our job honestly & sincerely.
Things will improve. We have to improve.
