Re: [IAC#RG] India against Corruption wants pictures of other freedom fighters on currency notes

Dear Brig R.S. Chhikara

IAC had already done the needful, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's
image is also one of those we suggested, along with Veer Savarkar,
Tilak, Lala Lajpat Rai etc. to be issued in large quantities..

Since the ET report was necessarily brief, our entire proposal can be
read online at
http://www.iacwiki.in/index.php?n=Main.PUBLICGRIEVANCEConcerningRBIsMGSeriesBanknotes

The relevant paras being :-

"E) That additional series of educative bank notes with visages of
iconic Indians in varied walks of lifes and regions shall be regularly
added in all the standard denominations of Rs. 10, Rs. 20, Rs. 50. eg.
Babasaheb Ambedkar, Jhansi ki Rani, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar
Tilak, Veer Savarkar, Abul Kalam Azad, Netaji Subhash Bose etc. in
large quantities to benefit and uplift the common people.

F) That considering the unique security and demographic threats
against our 8 North-Eastern States, a special series of banknotes of
Rs.100, Rs. 200, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 denominations be rapidly issued
to commemorate freedom fighters of the North-East like Rani Ma
Gaidinliu, U Tirot Singh, Kanak Lata Barua, Tikendra Jit Singh etc. to
forge their unity and clearly demonstrate that people of mainland
India are reciprocally bound to acknowledge and respect unsung
North-East heroes/martyrs contributions for the anti-colonial
struggle. "

IAC has sincerely tried to cover the entire spectrum of India's
patriots, and we ourselves acknowledge that this is only the first
step in a very long war which is to follow to correct this national
injustice and fraud on the citizens.

IAC firmly opposes any kind of personality cult, be it Gandhi, Gandhi
parivar, Narendra Modi, Arvind Kejriwal etc. We firmly believe in
selfless sacrifice and duty without any personal interest or desire
for fame and name.

As a few of our members have also asked for clarifications on how this
project is connected to IAC's scope and as "anti-corruption" work, I
explain below

a) Our campaign is covered under "General Economic Reform And Policy"
mentioned at clause 3.008 of IAC's Charter.

b) A devaluation / rapid withdrawal of MG series notes will greatly
hamper the black money operators, parallel bankers, havala dealers,
tax evaders and so on. We expect declared values of property prices,
and correspondingly the circle rates, to start rising once IAC
launches its campaign from 2 Oct 2015.

c) It is an open secret that in Delhi there is at least 25% and
normally 50% "currency component" in property transactions. The
situation elsewhere is worse. Not only does the State lose revenue by
way of stamp duty, but small property owners like salary earners
cannot get loans for the huge currency component prevalent in property
deals which are instead disguised as "furniture and fittings" etc.

d) These notes generated and hidden away in property deals cannot come
back in circulation, and are either used to further speculate in
property - creating an asset bubble - or are used for lavish lifestyle
with all its attendant evils.

We shall be highlighting all these things to RBI, in the 2nd round.
