I have been writing for many years of the loss of spine by some state electricity regulators, mostly retired bureaucrats. The DERC is a shining exception .
. They did rollback tariff increases, for the first Kejriwal government. The power sector is in serious financial crisis, and therefore the nationalized banks. I am glad grey are standing firm this time. I hope they will do the same when Kejriwal keeps his promise of using "regulatory assets" to reduce tariffs. This would be theft by the state since these assets are of approved expenses held back by the then regulator.
I appeal to right thinking people including you, to let the regulators do their job,and not further inflame populists like Kejriwal.
