The discussion about Tatkal ticket reservation is appreciable one. My question is why Tatkal? Why cant the government impose certain restrictions on agents in booking railway tickets? It's very simple. ID card numbers - voter ID, pan card , adhaar and passport as ID - should be made compulsory in booking tickets to eliminate middlemen.Next issue is, food served in the railway compartments are horrible. The tea and coffee are a shame. Why cant the government impose quality assurance that is imposed on other restaurants and food outlets?John LopezPresident & Chief Executive
